"What?" I asked, almost choking.
"Hi or Hey Records, the label the band owns, we're signing R!ot. And if something happens to R!ot, we're signing you, Savv." Luke was grinning ear to ear now. "As long as there's a 5 Seconds of Summer, you'll have an outlet to make music."
"Luke," I said, emotion starting to clog my voice, "You can't just give me a record deal."
"Oh, I didn't, but the executives that saw the tape I sent in did. They want to meet with R!ot, you and Belle specifically, to talk about individual contracts."
"You're kidding." I said, in complete disbelief. There was no way this was happening. it was surreal. "This is a joke. This is for a keek or something."
Luke reached over and took my hand, "I'm serious Savv. And so are the executives. In LA, aside from working on setlists and stuff like that, you're gonna start working on an EP and then an album. Welcome to Hi or Hey records, baby."
I gasped, bringing my free hand to my mouth. My eyes started to well up with tears before I pushed them away. I jumped out of my chair and sat on Luke's lap, kissing him hard. "You're amazing."
He grinned, "I already knew that."
"Yeah, yeah, you're the most amazing and smart person in the whole wide world, Lucas." I snuggled closer to his chest. "That's why you're mine."
"Oh I'm sorry, what was that?" Luke asked, dipping his head lower. "Couldn't hear you?"
I rolled my eyes, "You are the most fabulous, majestic, breathtaking boyfriend in the history of boyfriends and I am eternally lucky to call you mine. Happy?" I asked.
Luke winked, "I know for a fact I take your breath away."
"LUCAS ROBERT." I exclaimed, jumping off his lap. I cleared my empty plate, "You are awful."
Luke got up, clearing his empty plate as well, "Just a second ago I was fabulous."
"You can be both, believe me." I said, beginning to do the dishes.
Luke handed me his plate and leaned against the counter, watching me intently again. "You never asked how what I think of you, Jasey." I looked at him, shrugging, asking him to tell me. He crossed his arms, making his broad shoulders look even more pronounced. "Well, Savannah Isabel, I think that you are a beautifully smart, funny, sassy girl who makes me forget my own name half the time. You're my heartbreak girl."
"Please for the love of God tell me you did not use your own song as a pick up line." I groaned. "You could've said something poetic, Mr. world famous songwriter."
"I'll write a song about you if you want, babe."
"No! I mean, go ahead if you want to, but that's not what I'm saying. Of all the possible song references you could've used, you chose your own." I giggled, "It's equal parts pathetic and adorable."
Luke immediately got down on both knees, taking my hand in his, "Okay, then you're pretty. Your face is a work of art. Your smile could light up New York City after dark. And you have the most beautiful heart in the entire world. You're my sunshine on a cloudy day, my summer rain, my getaway. You are my favorite place. You are mine."
I pulled him up, absolutely beaming with joy. "Those were definitely your own lyrics at the end, but I suppose I'll take it."
"Good." Luke said before holding me close to him. My head stopped right at his chest, underneath his neck. He rested his chin on top of my head and enveloped my in his large arms. "I love you so much, Jasey. More than I could probably ever write."
