"The rest of the band was hoping you girls would be up to it."

My mouth hung open as I looked at Savannah. She looked just as confused as I did, which meant she didn't know about any of it. If I had to bet, I'd bet that Michael wasn't supposed to tell us this yet. Luke looked horrified.

"Mike." Luke's voice was barely above a whisper.

Savv jumped off of Luke's lap. "The band was YOUR idea. Did you set me up?" She asked. Luke bit his lip, looking down at the floor. He couldn't make eye contact with either of us. Savv started pacing. "The only reason you encouraged the singing was for the band. The reason you were so supportive was so I could be with you all the time. Do you have ANY idea how bad this makes you look Luke? You didn't do anything for me; it was all for you!"

"That's not true." Luke tried to defend himself. "Yeah, yeah I wanted to be around you and I wanted you on tour with me. Of course that's true, Savvy, I can't bear the thought of being away from you."

"But you didn't want me to sing because I was good. You wanted me to sing because you wanted me on tour with you." She pointed out. Savv started shaking her head. "I am such an idiot. Luke, I got up on stage and sang in front of other people. I humiliated myself in front of the whole school. I can't believe you would be so selfish."

"Why do you think you humiliated yourself?" He asked, finally looking up at her. "Savannah, you're not a bad singer."

She rolled her eyes, "How can I trust that you're being honest? You haven't told me the truth about anything!"

"You are a good singer, Savv." I offered, trying to pacify the situation. When Savv fought, she fought hard.

"We we're lying about your talents, Savannah." Michael agreed. "You've got serious talent."

Luke stood up, towering over her. "I don't know how you can accuse me of being dishonest when you didn't tell me you knew about the band."

"That's not fair!" She protested. "I didn't want you to think I was some crazy fan who only liked you for the fame."

"But that's exactly what you are!" Luke turned around, tugging at his hair. Michael and I both looked at each other, jaws on the floor. Savv looked somewhere between pissed and sad, and I couldn't tell if she was gonna burst into tears or punch him in the crotch.

"Luke, mate, did you hear what she said?" Mike asked, cautiously. "Did you hear it all?"

Luke turned around, "What?" He looked at Michael, then at me, then at Savannah. Her fists were clenched by her sides and her jaw was prominent. "You said you didn't want me to think you were just some crazy fan."

"That's not what I said." Savannah's voice was grave and somber. It practically resonated with anger.

"What did you say?" Luke asked very quietly.

Savv sucked air through her barely parted lips before wiping a renegade tear from her cheek. "Y'know what? It's not important. None of this is really important. Belle's doing okay and that's all that matters. Now, if you all don't mind, this crazy fan is going home."

"Savan-" Luke started but she was already out the door. He collapsed in the chair, head in his hands. "What did I do?" He asked, seemingly to himself. But he looked up at Michael and I for an answer, and we didn't have one for him. I wanted to tell him 'hey, don't worry about it. Savv gets worked up and angry. You two'll be fine!' but that wasn't the truth. Savannah was mad. She was probably going to the batting cages if I knew her well enough. She had an aluminum softball bat stashed in the back of her car for 'multiple purposes', and I knew heading out to the batting cages when she was mad was one of those.
