Chapter 24: Peace on the Island

Everyone were in a nice grassy area. Sonic and Shadow were bickering, while Tails and Knuckles watched. The Chaotix were making sure Eggman wasn't planning anything, and Amy, Vanilla and Cream were sitting on the table the Dimensional Travelers brought to the area. "That should be everything!" Gadget said letting go of a chair. "Can't believe we're actually having a party this early. Usually I'd comb over the area to make sure nothing is secretly happening." Miles said, holding some party hats. "SNT's Dimension is a lot more laid back, that's the nice way I'd put it." Rookie said. "And we can't sense Infinite, which means he's not in our Dimension at least." SNT said putting down Vanilla's tea set. "And tho others can handle him if he comes back to our Dimension!" Gadget said. "Now that we grabbed everything is everyone ready to go?" SNT asked. "You're leaving already!" Amy said. "Not yet. I promised these two that I'd show them around my Dimension." SNT pointed to Gadget and Maria. "I promise that this Dimension is not that messy!" SNT smiled nervously. "I'm sure it's not. It was technically our Dimension's fault for messing up the place." Maria said. Gadget leaned over to Maria. "Actually it's Infinite's fault." "Well he's in our Dimension." "Don't give our Dimension a bad look." Maria chuckled. "Alright! Follow me you three!" SNT started to run. The others followed. "Have fun on your double date!" Miles sat with Amy as he waved at them.
They all stopped in front of SNT's house. Despite the war-torn state, her house was still not as damaged as the other houses. "This is Vanilla's house! She's been housing me after the Flaming Knuckles incident. Rookie's been staying here during his visit." SNT pointed to her house. "Flaming Knuckles incident?" Gadget asked. "Aww! That's so nice of Vanilla to do!" Maria said. "I make it up to her by taking care of Cream and doing some of the chores around the house." SNT said. "You know, I thought Vanilla was your mom for a second when you first brought me here." Rookie remembered. "My mom!? I mean! I haven't really thought about it but.. it'd be nice to have a family besides Eggman." SNT crossed her arms and looked down. "Sounds to me like you do." Gadget pointed at her home with his thumb. S smiled, looking back at her home. "I guess I do!" Rookie went inside. "Oh! I guess I should show you inside." SNT muttered something. "Hey I haven't eaten in days you know." Rookie opened the fridge, hoping that there'd be at least something in there. Gadget had a mini heart attack hearing that. "This is the living room! Cream's toys are in that cabinet next to the TV the Chaotix gave us. Down the hall is where all our rooms are! Rookie's using the guest bedroom and I'll ask for PERMISSION before entering." S looked at Rookie. He was holding two bananas and he stuck out one for SNT. "No thanks, I'm not hungry." "SNT. We both know you haven't eaten in days like me. Take it." He shoved it to her hands. SNT looked annoyed but took it. "Why didn't either of you eat while we were at the party?" Gadget asked. "Yeah?" Maria wondered. The Dimensional Duo looked at each other. "Moving on!" They said in sync.
The Double Daters went and ran towards a nice beach area. There were a few deep holes and a civilian crawled out of one. "Is? Is it over?" They asked. "Yes! Just.. let us know if you see a masked Jackal." Rookie said. The civilian left. "Maybe we should come back here when the beach is more safe." Gadget said. "Now that I think about it. SNT should we really be giving them a tour if this place is like.. half destroyed?" Rookie scratched his head. Everyone looked around to see that, despite the illusion being gone, the island was still considerably dangerous. "But it's the least I can do for bringing you guys into this. You two were hurt really badly! And you could've gotten killed if-" "SNT!" Maria cut SNT off. "We chose to come to your Dimension, and we knew the risks! You can always show us around your place another time!" Maria looked at the horizon. "The tour you're giving is still pretty nice! Infinite didn't mess up the place too bad!" "I've got a pretty nice view myself." Gadget said while looking at Maria. Maria giggled and blushed. An idea popped into SNT's head. "Rookie!" She whispered and looked at Gadget and Maria. "Yeah yeah I know they should just kiss already!" He whispered back. "We should plan a double date! I know of a good spot to take them!" SNT said a bit louder. She looked at Gadget and Maria again. They were too busy talking to themselves to notice the Duo. "A double date seems fun. But I'm not sure how we'll make it good in the state your Dimension is in." The two bumped into each other and glitched slightly! Rookie looked at himself to make sure he was still in her Dimension. "Just follow my lead."
