(This takes place sometime around the "His Birthday" section of the Lloyd Boyfriend Scenario, just so you know.)
B/f/n groaned and flopped down on her bed. She'd just gotten a text from y/n about a date with Lloyd, which meant that b/f/n would be stuck at home...all alone...again.
B/f/n knew she should be happy for her friend, but she was getting tired of feeling like the third wheel. It seemed like y/n was always busy with her boyfriend lately. The two of them rarely got to hang out anymore, and even then y/n always ended up talking about him.
"Stupid Golden Ninja..." B/f/n pounded her fist into her pillow. She'd been so thrilled to meet the one and only Golden Ninja...now the thought made her want to be sick. The thought that she'd encouraged y/n to go out with him. The thought that Lloyd Garmadon had taken her best friend away from her. She wished she had never laid eyes on him. Or, better yet, she wished she could do something to him that would hurt him the way he had hurt her.
A tapping at the window jarred b/f/n out of her thoughts. She sat up and groped for the cord that would raise the blinds. It wasn't hard to reach her window--there was a tree right next to the house that she often climbed down to sneak out--but nobody cared enough to come visit her anymore.
Slowly, b/f/n raised the blinds to reveal a dark-haired boy crouched on a tree branch. Despite the fact that it was late in the evening, he wore a pair of dark sunglasses. He waved at b/f/n and pantomimed opening the window.
B/f/n thought for a moment, then decided there wasn't any harm in opening the window just a crack. "What do you want?" she called through the opening.
"I need a little help to take down your friend's boyfriend," he called back.
"Wait-aren't you one of the ninja?" B/f/n asked cautiously. She couldn't remember the boy's name, but his face was familiar.
The boy smirked at her and removed his sunglasses, revealing a pair of red eyes. "Not exactly."
B/f/n suppressed a twinge of fear. "Then who are you?"
"It's kind of a long story," the boy replied carelessly. "Let's just say that my friends and I are out to destroy the ninja, and we could use your help."
"What if I don't want to help you?" b/f/n asked.
"Well, that's your choice," the boy replied. "Tell you what; I'll give you some time to think it over. Meet me in the woods at midnight tomorrow to give me your answer."
"And what if I don't show?" b/f/n asked cautiously.
He shrugged. "I'll take it as a no. See ya tomorrow." Before b/f/n could do more than gape in astonishment, the boy dropped out of sight, vanishing into the darkness.
B/f/n stared out the window, stunned. Y/n was her friend. Hurting the ninja would most likely mean hurting y/n as well. But at the same time, she realized what the boy was offering. A chance to be more than the third wheel. A chance to hurt the Golden Ninja.
A chance to get revenge.

B/f/n winced as a twig snapped beneath her foot. She was cutting it close, she knew, but her parents had taken forever to fall asleep. She'd spent most of the day waffling over whether to accept the boy's offer or not. At last, still unsure of her choice, b/f/n had resolved to go to the meeting spot, and make her final decision there.
Finally, she reached the edge of a small clearing, breathing a sigh of relief when she realized that the boy from last night was there. But this time, he wasn't alone. There were four other boys with him, each looking like a carbon copy of one of the ninja. The only difference was that their eyes were red.
B/f/n started to step forward, but something held her back. If she walked into that clearing, she would be committed to helping these people. It wasn't too late to turn around and go home. She could say nothing and pretend last night had never happened. She paused for a moment, caught between her anger and some small flicker of conscience.
"Are you sure she'll be here?" the one who looked like Lloyd demanded. "Midnight was five minutes ago!"
"She'll be here!" the boy b/f/n had talked to last night insisted.
"Are you sure this is a smart idea?" another one of the boys asked. "She might tell the ninja what we're up to. You might have ruined everything, Cole!"
"Look, do you want to destroy the ninja or not?" Cole snapped. "Let's face it, we need her! You remember what happened the last time someone tried this."
"Fine," the one who had spoken said with a scowl. "But if she doesn't show in another ten minutes, I'm gonna say I told you so."
"You won't have to," b/f/n called. All five boys jumped.
B/f/n stepped forward and looked around at the group. "I'm here. And I'm in."

(So, I have a crazy idea: I'm thinking about annotating chapters.
Basically, you guys would request a chapter from the Boyfriend Scenarios, and I'd insert author's notes about what I was thinking while writing it and how it connects to the rest of the story and sometimes just some of my own rambling and whatnot and post it in this book (or I guess a better way to put it would be that I'm offering you guys a peek inside my head).
What do you guys think?
Over and out!)
