hi everyone!! this is just a quick little authors note so feel free to skip if you want :)
with the season five release dates for volume 1, 2, and the finale finally announced, i just wanted to say how absolutely thrilled i am! i can't wait to see what happens with all the stranger things characters and how the story ends. the first season of the show came out when i was the same age as the main kids and now i'm turning twenty next week🥹 stranger things has meant so much to me and has gotten me through so many things. as cheesy as it sounds, feel like i grew up with the cast and their characters.
as i said before, i'm so excited to see what they do for the final season but i'm also super excited to wrap up kim henderson's story and hopefully be able to give our girl a happy ending (please duffer brothers i'm begging you not to kill off steve or dustin🙏). i'm also really scared for our diva max mayfield cause personally i won't survive losing my favorite st character. i have a few ideas of things i want to have happen for kim before the end of this fic, so fingers crossed they fit within the plot lines the show writers have planned out. a bunch of you commented this after the last part, so i just want to confirm: WE WILL HAVE A HOPPER AND KIM REUNION I SWEAR ON MY LIFE FOLK😁
i also wanted to say thank you to everyone who read this book and is still reading it. currently this fic has 2.64 million reads, 63K votes, and 38K comments. that's literally mind blowing to me. i really do love going through and reading your comments. you guys make me giggle and then i sound like a freak laughing alone in my room. i started writing this the summer before my sophomore year of high school during covid, so i'm sorry if some of it was cringy or poorly written🫣 i've been re-reading this fic recently to start getting ideas for kim's ending and parts of it are definitely... interesting. thank you to everyone that didn't stop reading when steve randomly confessed that he liked kim. i honestly don't know what that was or what possessed me to write that. i recently made some tweaks to that chapter (chapter 22) if anyone wants to go back and reread a slightly better version of that☺️ i also plan on going back through to make a few other edits of weird stuff that sixteen year old me wrote but none of it will really change the other all plot.
