Winona sat up abruptly with a gasp, right before a loud noise was heard from downstairs. She threw off her blanket and hurried down the stairs, almost tripping on the way.
"I told you I wanted eggs!" Her father said through gritted teeth. Winona watched the scene.
Her mom was on the floor with the pan next to her, as well as pancake mix poured over her. "I can fix the eggs." Winona quickly said before she started on the breakfast, letting her mom wash herself.
Once the breakfast was done and her dad had left the house for work, she quickly got dressed before running off to school, catching Addison on the way.
"Seriously? He poured it over your mom?" Addison asked after Winona had told her what had happened. "Yeah. I just ran downstairs and she sat there with pancake mix all over her." Winona said.
"That's crazy. What did you do?" the blonde asked. "I told him that I would make breakfast so my mom could wash herself." she answered. "That was kind of you. Hope she's okay." Addison said as the two girl entered the school.
"I made sure she was before I left. That's why I didn't get to you first." Winona said, before stopping by her locker. She opened her locker and started taking out her books, before someone pinched her sides, causing her to scream.
Out of reflex, she used the book in her hand and hit the person on the head, which caused Wyatt to let go of her and rub the spot.
"Oh, my god, I'm so sorry." Winona covered her mount with her hands. Wyatt chuckled as he looked at her, before kissing her forehead. "I'm fine, puppy, don't worry." he smiled. "Are you abusing my brother?" Willa asked jokingly as the rest of the friend group approached them.
"He startled me. I'm sorry, baby." She placed her hand on his upper arm, squeezing it. "Nona, it's fine, don't worry." He smiled.
"So, what is happening today?" Zed asked as he threw his arm around Addison's shoulders. "Well, I am going to the den to meet Wyatt and Willa's dad, because he may know something about my parents." Winona announced.
"Oh, my God, Winnie, that's amazing!" Addison hugged her best friend, who jumped excitedly. "I don't know what's more exciting. Winona learning about her parents or her meeting your dad." Eliza said.
"Well, it's exciting to learn more about my past, but meeting their dad is more scaring than exciting." Winona let out a nervous laugh.
"You'll be fine, Win. You're a wolf, a part of our pack. I'm sure he'll love you." Willa threw her arm over the shorter girl's shoulders.

"Wy, I'm really nervous." Winona whispered to her boyfriend as they walked through the forest. "Nona, you'll be fine. He already likes you after all we've told him about you." Wyatt smiled, grabbing her hand and squeezing it.
"But what if I ruin it? What if I say something wrong?" She asked. Wyatt placed his hands on her shoulders and looked at her.
"Winona, relax. You'll be fine. Willa likes you, I like you, a lot of the wolves in the pack likes you, so why shouldn't he? There's nothing about you to dislike." He smiled.
Winona let out a shaking breath before nodding. He then placed his hand on her cheek and kissed her, before they made their way inside the werewolf den.
Everyone howled a welcome as they entered, and Winona of course howled back a thank you. "He's out there." Willa smiled, nodding towards the small ledge they used as a balcony.
Winona let put a shaky breath, her hand getting a squeeze from her boyfriend, before they approached the werewolf.
He was a little taller than Wyatt, and was standing with his back towards them. "Hi, dad." Wyatt smiled as they stopped behind him.
The man turned around with a big smile. Winona could immediately see that they were related, as he was almost identical to Wyatt, only the nose was different and he had a small beard.
"Hello! You must be Winona. It's very nice to finally meet you." He smiled, holding out his hand. Winona smiled as she shook it. "Thank you. It's very nice to meet you, too, Mr. Lykensen." She smiled.
"Please, call me Wilder." He smiled. "I must say, Winona, it's hard for me to decide if you look mostly like your mother or father." He said, looking at her.
"Wyatt told me that you knew something about them?" She smiled. "Ah, yes. Well, you dad was my very best friend. We did so much together, and I'm actually the reason him and your mom got together." He smiled proudly.
Winona giggled. "Well, where do I start? Hmm." He thought loudly, rubbing his chin. "I guess you could just start from the beginning." Winona said.
The three of them then sat down on a couple of stones, before he started telling her the stories of her parents.
How they met, their lives in the den, how her mother met her adoptive mother and all the funny things they would do together with Wyatt and Willa's parents.
"So you were best friends all four of you?" She asked with a smile. "Yeah, we were. And so were the two of you." He smiled. Winona and Wyatt shared a look.
"Do you know what happened to them?" She asked. He gave her a sad smile before sighing. "Wendy and Warren took you with them to show you to your adoptive mother. I tried to warn them, knowing that some of us had been spotted a few days before, but they didn't listen." He started.
"They took you with them, and we waited for them to return, but they never did. We went to look for them, but we couldn't find them." He sighed.
"We thought that whatever had happened to them had happened to you, too. I was so happy when Wyatt and Willa came to me to tell me that there was a new wolf in the pack, and once they said your name, I knew who you were." He smiled.
"Wendy was always stubborn, and Warren was always looking for adventure. They were very different, but I've never seen anyone more perfect together than those two." He smiled.
"Thank you, Mr. Lykensen. I mean Wilder." She smiled. "My adoptive mom didn't know what had happened either. All she knew was that my mom and dad appeared on her door in the middle of the night, giving me to her and saying that someone was after them." She explained.
He looked at her as she spoke. "Nothing else?" He asked. "No, that was it." She sighed. "Well, at least now you know more about them." He smiled.
"Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this means to me." She smiled as they stood up. "Just ask me of there's anything more you want to know." He smiled, before they bid goodbye.
"Can I please walk you home?" Wyatt asked. "Of course." She smiled, before they left the den. "I'm so thankful for your dad telling me all these stories of my parents." She smiled.
"Well, after learning more about them, I realize that you're alot like them. You're stubborn and you love adventure." He smiled.
"I can't believe we knew each other when we were babies. I guess it makes sense that we were in the same litter." She smiled.
Wyatt let out a small laugh. "You're so cute." He smiled. They then laughed and talked until they were outside her house.
"Will you be okay?" He asked, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Of couse. Thank you for coming with me." She smiled.
"Anything for you." He smiled, before he kissed her. "Goodnight, Wyatt." She smiled. "Goodnight, Winona. Call me if anything happens." He said. "I promise." She gave him one last kiss before entering het home, where her dad was on the couch with a beer.
