Winona looked at herself in the mirror. The watch behind her told her she had five minutes until she had to leave for school. She'd texted Addison and told her that she wouldn't be walking with her, because her favourite sweater had a hole and she needed to find something else to wear.
Of course, that wasn't true.
It was a warm day in Seabrook, and Winona pulled the sleeves of her sweater over the burn mark on her forearm, before approving of her clothes. Her hair was in a ponytail, and she was wearing a thin, light pink sweater, a pair of pink flared jeans and a pair of white Nike air force. Her necklace was hidden in her pocket.

She went downstairs, where her mom was cleaning up after breakfast and her dad was gone to work. She bid her mother goodbye before hurrying off to school, meeting Addison halfway.
"Oh, hey Winnie. I got your lunch from mom." Addison smiled, giving the girl a sandwich folded in paper. "Aw, thank you." Winona smiled before she grabbed it and put it in her backpack.
"Aren't you going to be warm today?" the blonde asked her friend, looking at the sweater. "You know me, Addie, I'm always cold." Winona smiled. "That's true." Addison shrugged, before they entered the school.
They met up with their friends, who were waiting next to Addison, Winona and Wyatt's lockers. "Woah, Winnie, you sure you won't burn up in that sweater?" Eliza asked, looking at the brunette.
"Girl, you've known me for over a year now. I'm always cold." she shrugged. "That's true. That's very true, actually." Zed agreed. Winona gave them an innocent smile, before she opened her locker to grab her books.
"Good morning." Someone whispered in her ear, before a kiss was placed on the side of her head.
About three months had passed since Wyatt and Winona became official, and their relationship was stronger than ever.
They were together almost every day after achool, and spent most of their spare time with each other, mostly Wyatt in her garage while she worked on clothes.
"Good morning." She smiled at the werewolf, before turning to join the conversation the rest of them had.
"The lake after school?" Eliza asked. Everyone confirmed they'd join, Winona as well, even though she was unsure.
The bell rang, but this time, Winona was able to muffle the noise on command, which she'd practiced on while her parents were yelling at her.
"Wow, Winnie. You're learning." Willa smiled. "Indeed I am." Winona joked, before they all separated to head to class.
~~~~~~
Since her last class of the day was alone, she met up with the rest of her friends by the main enterance of the school.
"Finally. Now we can all head to the beach." Addison smiled. "You didn't have to wait for me. I could have walked myself." Winona said.
"Wolves travel in pack, Winona. And you're a part of our pack now." Willa smiled. Winona felt a warm feeling at the statement, and gladly followed them.
"Hey, did you talk to your dad?" She asked her boyfriend as he grabbed her hand to walk with her.
"I did. He said he wanted to talk to you personally, if you're comfortable with that." He smiled.
Winona stopped and turned her whole body to him. "Meet your dad?" She asked. "Yeah. He really wants to meet you." Wyatt smiled.
"Are you serious?" She asked. "Of course I am. He may have given up the Alpha title to Willa, but he still wants to know everyone who is a part of the pack." He said.
"And, I think he knows something, but he wants to tell you in person." He added. Winona smiled at him.
"Wow, of course, I'd love to meet your dad." She smiled. Wyatt smiled at her, before he started walking again, dragging her with him.
Winona sat down next to Wynter once they came to the beach, as she as well wasn't a big fan of water.
Eliza joined them qickly after, while the rest went swimming. The three girls talked and laughed a lot while their friends were swimming, before they came up to have a snack.
Winona stood up as Wyatt walked towards her, but quickly regretted it as he shook his head, causing her to cover her face from the water.
"Thank you so very much for that." She smiled sarcastically. "Anything for you, Boo." He smiled, before forcing her in for a hug.
She hugged him back, even though he was soaking wet, before he let go to grab a drink. Winona walked over to the water.
She foled up the arm of her sweater on her left arm without thinking, and dipped her hand in the water, before someone walked up to her.
Addison placed herself to shield the scene from the rest, before grabbing her arm and pulling the sleeve a little more. But someone saw it.
"Winona, what is this?" Addison asked. "I swear, it wasn't him." She quickly defended, before someone else walked up to them.
"Please, Wy, you have to believe me. My mom was cooking dinner and I had to grab something next to the stove and I accidentally burned myself." She explained.
"He had nothing to do with it." She added. "Winona, are you sure you're telling the truth?" Addison asked. "I promise, Addie. This one was a clumsy accident." She said, looking her dead in the eyes.
Addison sighed, before accepting the answer and walked back to her friends.
"Addison may fall for your lies, but I won't. When you lie, your nose wiggle a little, which is very cute to watch, but it's bad that you lie." Wyatt said, quietly.
"Wyatt, you promised me you wouldn't tell anyone. And you know what happens if you tell." She said.
"Winona, it breaks my heart every time I have to leave you at home with him. Every time I think about what he might be doing to you." He whispered.
"Wyatt, a promise is a promise." She said. Now she was looking him dead in the eyes as well. He hated that promise, but gave up as he looked at her.
"Trust me, baby, please." She whispered. He let out a sigh. "I trust you, Nona." He smiled. "Thank you." She smiled, before returning to her friends.
The rest of the day, they all laughed and talked, and Willa was informed on the fact that Winona would be meeting their dad to talk about her parents.
The friend group then all agreed to meet up the next day, since it was a weekend, to have a picknick in a small opening in the forest by the wolf den.
Wyatt and Zed followed the two girls home, Zed leaving once Addison had entered her home, while Wyatt and Winona waited outside a little more.
"Call me if he hurts you again, please." He whispered. "I promise I will, Wyatt. Thank you for keeping your promise and for being here for me." She smiled.
Wyatt kissed her with a smile. "Anything for you." He whispered. "I have to go, but I'll see you tomorrow?" She smiled.
"Yeah, can't wait." He smiled, before she left him to enter her own home. Wyatt stood outside for a few moments alone, before he started walking away.
But he was not headed home.
