Winona looked out the window of Addison's room, watching her blonde friend meet up with her boyfriend for a date-day. Smiling to herself, she climbed through the window.
"Have a great day, Winnie." Addison yelled, waving. "You too. Zed, I want her home by 10pm!" The werewolf yelled. "I promise, Win." The Zombie yelled back, before they walked away. She hurried into her own bedroom.
After she put on a pair of light pink, wide leg sweatpants, and a darker shade of pink tight, cropped tank top. She then put her hair up in a ponytail, before hurrying down the stairs.
Her house was empty, giving her the chance to use her front door for once. She threw on her white sneakers, before running past Addison's home and nocked on the next one.
"Oh, Hi, Winona. I'll get him." the brunette woman smiled, before yelling for her son. She then left the room, before the very person she was looking for came to the door.
"Haya, Skunk." Bucky smiled. "Buck, I need to talk to you." she said, before he motioned for her to come inside. "What is it?" he asked, fixing her a glass of water. She cleared her throat, before sitting down on the barstool by the kitchen island.
"Okay, so, you remember when I was still in a wheelchair, and you yelled at me to get me walking again, but I just threw you out of my hospital room?" she said. "Yes, Win, I remember it very clearly." he said.
"Well, thanks to you, I'm no longer in a wheelchair." she smiled. "Where are you going with this?" he asked. "Thursday, I had my very last physical therapy appointment, and I have something to show you." she said, before taking out a folded piece of paper.
She laid it down in front of him, and he looked at her while opening it, before reading the note. After a few seconds, his eyes shot up at her. "I was wondering if you could help me get back to the basics." she asked.
"Winnie, this is great. But why me?" he asked. "Well, I haven't told Addison yet because she's going to force me to join the cheer team, and like I said, you're the very reason I'm no longer in a wheelchair. I threw you out of that room, banned you from ever returning, and you still showed up to run with me on that treadmill during my physical therapy." She said.
"Bucky, you're the only one I know who don't beat around the bush. You're brutally honest with me and you'll push me to do my best." she said. He sighed, looking between her and the note congratulating her for returning to gymnastics.
"It's Saturday." he said. "The Gym gave me a key, since I'm a trusted veteran. Please, Buck." she pleaded. "Fine. Fine, I'll go with you. I'll train you. I'll be brutally honest with you." he smiled. Winona squealed, before jumping up from the stool and hugging him.
Bucky laughed, before hugging her back. "I'll put on some more flexible clothes." he said, before hurrying up to his room.
Once he was done, they both got in his car, before he drove them to the gymnasium.
"So, what do you want to start with?" He asked, turning to her and clapping his hands together.
"You're the coach. I do as you say. I haven't done any real training since before the accident, so I need to start easy." She said.
"Oh, come on. You were the youngest gymnast in a 300 mile radius from here to ever win gold three years in a row. I'm not letting you start easy." He said.
"And you told me that Doctor Ordin made you recreate the trick that temporarily paralysed you, which means that you've already done something hard." He then said, walking towards the balance beams.
"For starters, I wanna check your balance and your flexibility. Get up on the beam." He said, patting the large beam next to him.
Winona pulled herself up on the beam, before doing a cartwheel. "Your balance looks good." The coach mumbled.
