•Chapter 34•

Waking up to the sun shining in December sent shivers down my spine. I smiled.

Safe. I felt safe. I looked beside me at Daniel sleeping peacefully.

He stirred a bit causing his hair to fall on his forehead. I caressed them away watching his eyes. Then he suddenly opened them looking at me confused.

I frowned.

"Uh Kylie. " he said in his sleepy voice," I thought I was dreaming."

He came closer to me pulling me to his chest and hugging my with both hands , his legs tangling around mine. I laughed at him.
He smiled closing his eyes as he slept another 5 minutes.

I climbed out of the car and kissed Daniel who was holding the door for me.
"I love you. " He smiled at me.

"Mhmm me more. "I said taking his hand and going to the front door of the pack house.

A few howls erupted the air and birds flew the other direction of the house. My heart started beating fast as we hurriedly entered.

"What's going on ? " Me and Daniel asked as soon as we entered the living room.

Alex, Eve, Carter, Matthew, Hunter, Hailey, Alpha Mike, Luna Payton, Caleb, Levi, and Avery where all there and a pitch brown wolf in the middle looking dangerously angry.

No sight of Brooklyn.

The wolf ran out of the backdoor and ran towards the woods.
"Who's that?" I asked, "where's Brooklyn?"

I looked around and they all were looking at me. I gave them a questioned look.

"What happened to Brooklyn?" Daniel asked in a serious voice.

A moment passed by then he cursed. I looked at him and knew he'd been reading minds from his Alpha.

"We gotta do something." He said more like stated.
"Why? Where is she ? " I asked Daniel.

"Kidnapped . " Daniel hissed his teeth gritting together.
I gasped. "By who? "

"Red Blood pack." Shit! They found me.

~Who?~ Daniel answered my thoughts.

Damn. Forgot he was my mate and can read my thoughts.

~Them~ I looked at him with a sorry expression.

"It's my fault." I said out loud. Looking at them all.

"What do you mean by it's your fault." Daniel asked surprised.

"Brandon is out there and I can't reach him. He's blocking me out. " Levi said worry filling his face.

"I'll give him order. "Daniel said.

Another moment passed by.

"He's coming back. "I held my forehead feeling a bit dizzy.

They know where I am.

They're coming for me.

~don't be. No matter what I'll protect you. Hell I wont let anyone near my mate. ~ he said.

I looked at him and he squeezed my hand assuringly.

"Can someone explain to me how it's Kylie's fault? " Carter said crossing his arms over his chest. Then all the attention was back to me. Waiting for an explanation.

I started telling my story from the very beginning reaching the point where I got kidnapped and put in a dungeon and figuring out about the other girls. I explained how we was treated and every once in a while I'd look at Daniel who sat next to me on the couch and he'd be frowning , hands balled in fists. I continued telling them about running away but getting caught . Daniel pressed my palm assuring me. I told them about Las Vegas and my mate letting me run away. Then about going back home to Alex and well again getting caught with her. I then told them about running away with River and coming to this pack.

"And where's your guy-whats his name? Rider?" Mike, Daniel's father said.
"Dad!" Daniel interrupted him.

"No um.. "I said easing the tension. "He left ..it's another story. "

"Okay. "Mike said nodding yet a frown still on his face. I felt as if I'm an intruder to his family and causing problems.
I let down Daniel's hand and stood up.

"You don't have to worry about it. I'm fixing it. " I said.

"What? How?" Daniel stood up.

"I'll go and ask them to take me instead. "

"WHAT ! Fuck no !" Daniel cussed out.

"Daniel, it's my fault. I caused it ,I'm fixing it. " I said assuring him.

"Yea she have to go. " Brandon came out of nowhere. We all turned around. "You. It's all your fault. "He said pointing a finger at me.

"I know-" I got interrupted by Daniel getting angry and going toward Brandon pushing him backwards. And before I know it everyone came stopping them from fighting with each others.

"I know it's my fault and I'm sorry about your mate I didn't mean to do any harm. " I told Brandon then turned to the Alpha. "Really. "

"NO fuck no! If your mate was kidnapped I really don't fucking want to lose my mate as well! God damn it!! I just got her back! " Daniel threw his hands in his hair grabbing fist full of them.

"Daniel I-"

"No you're not going!" he yelled at me. His eyes turning black. The way they always did when he's really mad.

"Well son. Brandon's mate is kidnapped and since your mate has to do with it you should solve this problem. " Daniel's father said.

"Really? Now everyone is alone? Your fucking entire life teaching us that family is important and now you say we're on our own? How shameful of you!" Daniel yelled at his father and I never saw him yelling before like this.

"I don't know but what I know is that your pack is in danger and I am not risking another member of it. You have to figure out how to get her back !" Mike said firmly without even raising his voice. And with that he left the room with his mate.

"Fucking great. "Levi said. "Now what ?" Avery sat down next to him.

"We'll figure it out. Don't worry. " Avery said. Looking at her mate then Daniel then me.

I sat down then Daniel followed.

"But still. She's not going. "He said. I sighed.
