"We don't have much time." I said worriedly.

"It's ok don't worry. " Daniel said sleepily and fell asleep on my shoulder.

The plane was supposed to take an hour only but this hour is taking forever.

Other than this , the what ifs couldn't leave my mind.

Like ..

What if something happened?

What if my old pack took me again??

No. Stop thinking Kylie. Damn it. I overthink a lot.

Daniel promised he wouldn't let anything happen to me.

Then again we're officially mates .

I smiled and touched my neck but whimpered cause it still hurts.

But it's ok as long as it's from Daniel I won't mind. I looked for the last time out of the window then closed my eyes trying to sleep a bit.

"Daniel. You know where the wolves kingdom is?" I asked him running down the airport and existing it.

"Yes it's the other side of the town. " He said then stopped a taxi.

"What?! We'll not get there on time. It's almost morning. "

"Babe calm down. They don't work early. Those wolves are so lazy. They don't wake there asses up to do stupid stuff. "He said waiting for me to go in the taxi cab.

"This is not a stupid stuff. God , can you stop giving ridiculous comments. "I said after the driver started the car.

"Fine. " He said and that was the last word I heard from him. He just crossed his arms over his chest and looked at the trees passing by.

Well at least he isn't nagging. I thought.

The rest of the ride was silent. Maybe that old guy didn't like sharing things.

"Thanks for the drive. "I watched as he drove away.

I rolled my eyes and turned to be met by a massive mansion behind Silver gates .

"Wow. "It was really wonderful there were wolf guards everywhere you'd look.

A colorful garden in the front yard and a big water fountain at the middle.

"Werewolf and human. "I snapped out of it to see Daniel talking to this door guy.

I hope they hurry a bit, the sun was started to get up.

"What pack?"

"Moon light. "

"You can get in but she can't. "

"She's my mate. "Daniel said. The guy looked at me from up to down which made me feel awkward.

Oh come on !

He opened the gate for us and walked hurriedly to the house.

Same question were asked and I was about to burst out yelled at the door guys.

After we went in , I couldn't stop awing at the place.

Everything was made of glass and Crystal , even the picture frames.

"Are you sure you .."A strange voice came from far away echoing its way in the room.

I turned in the direction that the sound came from feeling my heart race.

"Yea I'm sure.."

"No Daniel ! It's him It's him. "

I ran without listening to Daniel.

It was a long hallway with large pictures on the right and large windows on the left.

I ran and ran but I couldn't reach it and the sun rays were starting to show.

I kept running and hearing drums echoing.

I was so close to the door but the sun shined leaving my heart beat more.

I bursted the door open and suddenly everything stopped.

My vision blurred from my tears.

A body fell lifelessly on the ground with a hud.

Two guys wearing black were standing in front of the body.

Blood drooled like a river..

"Oh my god . oh my god . oh my god. "I gasped at River's dead body.

I ran to him, and fell on my knees.

"No no I'm sorry. I'm s-sorry I was too late. Please don't die. Please be alive. "I said over and over hugging his lifeless body in my arms and sobbing so loudly.

"Kylie. It's ok. Calm down. It's ok baby. He's in a better place now. "I heard Daniel soothing me.

"H-he died i-in fron-nt of me. "I said between my sobs.

"It's ok baby let go. "He said rubbing my arm slowly.

River slept peacefully in my hand with his eyes open as if staring at me. I cried more. His chest red from blood. I hugged him one more time to my chest and kissed his forehead.

I can't believe I was so late. My vision blurred and tears started falling down like rain. The morning light shined on his body.

I cried and sobbed more before I placed my bloody shivering hand on his eyes , closing them slowly.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. "I whispered with my weak voice..
