After The Nightfall ...

•Chapter 6•

"I'm so sorry I didn't see you. " I told River for the thousand time.

They took him into the emergency room and I paced back and forth in the waiting room.

How did I do that and it was only the first time. Luck was on my side and the arrow hit his arm.

After an hour the doctor came back. "How is he? Is everything ok?" I asked worried.

"Yea he's fine. But what were you doing with an arrow ? It's dangerous to play with that. "

"I was in the forest." I said in a duh voice.

He frowned at me then walked away.

What?! You have to ask him what was he doing in the forest! I thought.

I huffed and walked in River's room.

"Hey. " I smiled at me. He gave me a weak smile back.

"Listen I'm so sorry I-"

"Kylie. It's ok. " he cut me off. He sat down and winced holding his arm.

"Were did you get that from?" He chuckled.

"Uh .. A friend. "I shrugged.

"Well that's real. " He said.

"Yea. I know. "I said in a whisper but he heard it.

"Why?" He asked frowning in wonder.

I took a deep breath.

"Cause I ...oh look. "He looked at the clock that I was looking at.

"It's pass 3. I gotta go back home before grandma knows. "

"You didn't tell her?" He asked.

"No?" I said but it got out like a question.

"Because..?" He asked.

"I'm grounded. "

"Why?"

"Please stop asking me questions." I whined.

"Ok. Sorry. " he said.

"It's ok. " I said.

"Let's get out of here. " He said and I nodded.

I helped him wear his t-shirt and he thanked me and smiled.

He then kissed my cheek slowly causing small chills down my spine.

He held my hand as we walked out of the hospital. He then walked with me all the way home.

He kissed my forehead "Goodnight Kay. " he said and I couldn't help the blush.

"Goodnight. " I said.

I waved my hand at him and got up to my room. I watched him as he laughed at me. "Little monkey."

He whispered yelled.

"Shush and no I'm not. " I pouted at him crossing my arms over my chest. He chuckled at me.

He blew me a kiss and walked away.

I closed my window and changed into my pajamas.

I laid on my bed and sighed smiling at everything that happened. Then thinking about how I saw a wolf then River was there? Its impossible. I might have seen wrong. I'm getting so obsessed with wolves. That's so wrong.
