After The Nightfall ...

•Chapter 40•

Life has turned upside down. After I healed. The pack that Landon ruled was closed. The girls were buried and we planned a funeral.

"April. Be careful baby." I told my little girl. She was running around the house like crazy. I sighed happily placing a hand on my swollen belly. Were pups where tiring, they had energy more than a normal kid.

The door bell rang and I opened the door letting Alex, Eve and my husband Daniel in.

"April!" Alex yelled catching her attention. April ran and jumped in her arms. She was her favorite. I hugged Eve then pecked Daniel on his lips.

"How are my babies today?" He asked with adoration. A smile lingering on his lips. He leaned down kissing my belly.

"Great how are you honey?" I smiled back asking. He kissed my lips again.

"Can't be better. "He made me chuckle and we were interrupted by the door bell again. I opened the door and in came Beta Carter, Matthew, Levi and a pregnant Avery. I hugged them all walking then into the kitchen and getting my birthday cake.

Hunter and Hailey soon came in and Harry, their son jumped when he saw the cake.

The house was crowded and they all stood around the table. I took my camera and call them to look. They all grinned looking at me as they yelled 'Beesss'.

I chuckled taking the photo and walked to where the cake was. They started singing me a Happy birthday song and I smiled. 

"Make a wish!"

I sighed in happiness and blew the cake .. Without a wish. Because that was all I wished for.

No matter what do not lose hope and keep wishing .. Because after the nightfall, the sun rises..
