After The Nightfall ...

•Chapter 3•

I led him upstairs. He was a bit confused.

"Here. My bathroom. "I said giving him a small smile.

"Oh thank you. "He smiled back at me. He was going to get in but he stopped.

He looked at me then smiled. "Ladies first. " Wow well he was nice.

"Thank you. " I told him. I rushed in and started taking the cake off my face and hands. When I was done I went out and he was still waiting. He smiled at me and I returned it gladly.

I went downstairs and searched for Alex.

I found her sitting in a circle on the ground in the back yard. Oh no. Not true or dare.

That's her favorite. I'm totally screwed.

The circle was full of my friends they moved a little for me to sit but I was exactly in front of Alex.

NO WAY.

I changed my place and sat next to her.

"Why'd you do that?"she pouted.

"Cause I love you bestie."

Right after she was turning the bottle , The guy came and sat on the other side of us-right in front of me. Awesome.

"Oh look. Mason is gonna join us. "Alex said. So the new guy is called Mason.

The bottle turned and stopped right in between me and Mason. You've got to be kidding me!

"Ask him. "Alex nudged me with her elbow.

"Ow. Ok. "I said rubbing my hand.

"Tell us about yourself. "I said smiling.

"Well. I'm new here in Seattle. I came today in the morning and your grandma invited me here ."he smiled looking at me then continued.

"I'm 19 and I'm going to do my senior year in Seattle High school. "

Wow so I'm gonna see that handsome guy around a lot.

After an hour or so the sun started getting down, and everyone started leaving.

"Thank you Alex. It was the best birthday ever. "I hugged her and walked with her to the door.

"You're welcome. Anything bestie. "She said then went out. I waved goodbye as she rode her car and drove off.

I went in the kitchen to grandma and kissed her cheek.

"I'll be in my room. Goodnight. "I said and walked up my room.

I had a corner in my room filled with all my gifts. But I didn't care. I opened my wardrobe and got my black leather jacket and put it on.

I opened my window and jumped down on the ground.

I started walking in the forest as it got darker. Every step I took deeper in the woods it got colder , causing me to have goosebumps.

I walked a long mile that I was sure I got out of Seattle's territory. I was about to reach the camp fire when a hand caught mine..

I screamed.

He shushed me.

"What are you doing here?"We both ask at the same time.

"That's so funny. I just was taking a walk. What are you doing here?" Mason asked.

" I was taking a walk too. "I said.

"That far?" he asked. I shrugged. "You shouldn't be here this late at night. It's dangerous. "

"I'm not scared. " I said.

He rolled his eyes. "Come on I'm taking you home. "He said pulling on my arm but I stopped him.

"I have to stay. "

"Why?"he asked.

I rolled my eyes and kept walking. He followed me and tried to stop me but as soon as he stopped me I was already there.

The place was the same as it was 10 years ago. The trees , our tent, our bottles and bags, the wood around the camp fire. The blood.. my parent's blood.

I sat on the wooden trunk and stared at nothing. The place was so beautiful. The stars were shining bright light diamonds in the sky. The wind was singing an old tune.

"Do you know that place?" Mason said sitting next to me.

"Yea. Here is where it all happened..."

"What happened?" he asked.

I looked at him in the eyes and they were still shining bright blue even at night.

I took a deep breath and let it out , then I told him everything. Why did I trust him? I have no idea..
