Chapter 46 - The Wild Force Trials - Part 2

Tokoyami

Tokoyami opens his eyes, seeing himself in what he recognized as the Savannah Deserts of Africa.

"The Giraffe Zord." He mutters. "I need to find the Giraffe Zord. Dark Shadow!" He exclaims, trying to summon his quirk, only for a weak shadow to appear at his feet.

"Fuumii~" Dark Shadow whines. "It's too sunny. I can't..."

"Alright." Tokoyami tells her. "Rest. Gather your power. Stay within my shadows."

Dark Shadow nods as she retreats into Tokoyami's shadow. "I guess I walk then." He mutters as he starts to run, looking around when he hears the rumbling. One he recognized as that of a Stampede, having heard the sound from the Jungle Fury Ranger's finishers. A stampede that was coming towards him.

"SHIT!" He exclaims as he starts to run away from the stampede, heading towards what he had assumed was a hill.

Making halfway, Tokoyami realized that he was running towards a cliff. And from the looks of it, the cliff was steep. With a ravine below.

"Fuck!" He curses, looking behind to see the wildebeest still running towards him. "What do I do..." He mutters, "I can't fly without Dark Shadow."

"Who decided that?" A voice echos in his head as Tokoyami reaches the cliff, skidding to a halt.

"Who was that?" Tokoyami asks as he looks around, noticing a single bird flying high in the sky. "Eagle!" He exclaims.

"Fly my Chosen." Eagle tells him. "Fly high. Failing here will not help you." She tells him.

"But..." Tokoyami mutters as he looks back at the advancing Stampede. "Fuck this." He mutters as he take a few steps back and runs off the cliff. "FLY!!! FLY FUMIKAGE!" He exclaims as he free falls. "Pull up! PULL UP!" He exclaims as he feels the wind change direction. Opening his eyes, he finds himself flying upwards.

"YES!!" he exclaims as he soars in the sky.

"Good." Eagle praises him. "You are ready for the next phase." She tells him. "Try and keep up." She tells him as she flies away.

"Alright!" Tokoyami exclaims as he pushes himself forward, following his zord as she flew through the sky, heading to a floating island. "Is that Animaria?" He asks her.

"A replica. No where are amazing as the real thing." Eagle answers as they land onto the floating island.

"What's next?" Tokoyami asks, winded from the flight.

"DODGE!" A voice exclaims as a metallic projectile flies towards Tokoyami, missing him barely as it crashed into the ground while Tokoyami took to the air.

"Why is it always the same greeting?" Eagle asks as the Giraffe Zord comes into view.

"Because its fun." The Giraffe Zord chuckles as he turns to Tokoyami. "Chosen of the Eagle, time for your trial." He announces. "Your task is simple." He says as he turns to the field in front of him. "Move those monoliths as directed by the symbols around them."

"That's it?" Tokoyami asks, shocked by the simplicity of the task.

"Give it a try." Giraffe chuckles as Tokoyami flies down to the monoliths.

As Tokoyami lands near the closest monolith, he notices a stone tablet placed rather centrally between the monoliths. Walking closer, he notices writing on the tablet. While he's able to regonise the writing as Animarian, he is unable to read the entire phrase.

"Let's see... this one says something stillness, something must begin." He reads in broken animarian causing Giraffe and Eagle to chuckle. "Something something neck... something lies within." He continues. "Sun... something sky something. The next line is something truth, something something something skin. Somethingr something steps something." He mutters. "I should have paid more attention to the animarian classes." He sighs as he looks around to see symbols near every monolith. Walking closer to the first monolith, he sees the symbol of a bird... something similar to an eagle. Upon inspecting the other monoliths, he finds an Owl, a Fox, a giraffe and a turtle.
