I woke up as soon as my alarm went off at six AM. My stomach churned as I went downstairs to get soemthing light to eat.
If it was up to me, I would have slept in due to me being pregnant. But I had no choice as there was a seventeen hour flight to Malaysia with my name on it.
I took a banana out of the fruit bowl and laid it on the breakfast bar. I stared long and hard at it, hoping the sick feeling would go away so I could eat it.
A few moments later there was a loud knock on the door. As I went to answer it the nausea reaturned and I knew that this time it wasn't going to go away. I unlocked the door to find a nervous looking Nico standing in front of it.
"OH! Thank god you're ok!"
"What do you mean?!" I asked, confused and feeling that any moment I would be sick.
"You weren't answering your phone so I panicked! Especially after I told you...well...about the soon to be new addition to our family"
I thought about my baby. My unborn baby. There in front of us. My chance to tell him. Instead I went pale, dizzy and ran to the toilet.
Nico ran straight after me, even coming into the toilet with me to make sure I was ok. As soon as I stopped, I started again.
"Looks like you've got a touch of morning sickness" He joked. He didn't know that what he had just said was right. I was having his child.
"Come on. You all packed and ready to go?"
"Yeah"
"I'll drive you then. If you're ill I don't want you driving"
"I'll be fine Nico! I swear!"
"I don't want to take the risk"
"Okay, fine"
He smiled, squeezed my hand and took my bags out to his car.

"We're really early" I said.
"I know! Do you want to check in now or go and get a coffee or something to eat?"
"We have enough time so we may as well go for a drink"
We went to the small starbucks and each had a coffee before going to check in.
We walked to terminal 3, got on the plane and as usual, turned all electrical devises onto airplane mode and did up our seat belts.
My stomach made an empty growling noise as we waited for the plane to take off.
"Was that you?!" Nico laughed.
"Yeah!"
"You sound really hungry! If you'd have said then we could've gotten something!"
"Nico! I'm fine! It doesn't matter! I'll wait until they start serving dinner"
"Promise?"
"Promise"
For some reason, my hands went to my stomach. It made no sense as I had no bump.
I was starting to have a think about the baby situation. I was having blood tests on Thursday but then I realised, Nico would find out. His girlfriend was also pregnant so why should I make the situation harder by telling him that I am too?
I grabbed my phone to text my sister but she would tell me not to do it. Not to abort my baby. To my advantage I had the number of the abortion clinic near the track, around five minutes away.
Nico had his headphones in and was gazing longingly at his Ipad. There was a black and grey photo on his screen. How was scrolling through several of them. He seemed pretty away with it so before the plane took off I called the clinic.
