I woke up beaming the next day. It was free practice day but Nico and I had other things to do.

"Nico" I whispered.

"Yeah"

"Do you know what day it is?"

"Friday" he teased.

"I know! We're finding out the gender of the baby!"

"I'd never have guessed!"

"Come ooooooonnnn! I really want to know!"

"Slow down girl! FP1 first!"

"True! I'm in the Lotus garage"

"Why?" He asked, looking concerned.

"I'm Carmens plus 1!"

"For a moment I thought you were...with him"

"Jolyon?"

"Yeah..."

"I wouldn't go back with him"

"Really?"

"I promise"

He smiled and made me a light breakfast that consisted of Nutella pancakes while he had an omelette.

"I can't tempt you can I?" I teased, knowing it was his favourite.

"Nope!"

"Not just one bite?"

"Not one bite!" He said, although I could see him trembling, fighting back the urge.

"Not one tiny bite?" I said, holding a little piece out towards him on my fork. He gave in and ate it.

"You didn't see that! If vijay knew he'd kill me!"

"Bless you Nico!"

We finished having breakfast and went to get changed. I was in a loose, baggy top that, again, showed off my baby bump. I didn't walk hand in hand with Nico through the paddock as I was scared Vijay would see us. That didn't matter anyway as I still had to go to the force India garage with him to say that he wouldn't be around for debrief.

"Vijay?!" He yelled.

"Yes Nico?"

"Can you come here a moment?!"

"On my way"

"I won't be around for debrief"

"And why not?"

"We're finding out the baby's gender today" he said as I smiled.

"Oh right..."

"Why? That seems like a problem"

"No no, not at all. It's a big day for you both"

"Why do I feel like I'm contributing to this?' I said.

They both went quiet.

"I'll meet you in the harbour" I said to Nico.

"I'll meet you there"

"Make sure you do!"

"I wouldn't miss this for the world"

I blew him a kiss and went to the lotus garage. They were all staring at me as I walked in.

"Sophie? What are you doing here? I thought you weren't with Jolyon?" Romain said.

"I'm not anymore! I'm Carmens plus 1 for the weekend"

"Ah right! How's the unborn one?

"We can call it a he or she after today!"

"Second scan already?"
