Hello my lovely followers! I am back after so long with another addition to this story! So recap: Aranel is going after Mara but..Mara does not know who she is! I have spent all day at work planning the next few chapters so be ready for a chapter or two, once a week! I've also been obsessed with Loki from Thor so I think I might take a stab at a Loki fanfic! So make sure to leave a comment below( it keeps me motivated) with your thoughts and predictions! I actually am basing a twist on a comment so please keep those ideas rolling! Okay enough of my talk and onto the good stuff!

(Aranel's p.o.v)

Being queen and sneaking out of a few places you learn stuff. Stuff like: you always need someone on the inside. Someone who your eyes when you're not there. Unfortunately, the only person I knew who would help me the most would be Legolas, but he could tell his father at any moment.

I snuck out of the room and softly knocked on Legolas' door. He creaked it open and once he saw me the look in his eye told me he knew. He knew what I was there for and what I was going to ask of him.

"You know me too well," I said smiling at him.

"Well you are my mother."

He smiled back.

"I am doing this for Mara but I cannot promise father won't find out," Legolas whispered.

"I understand," I replied.

Legolas pushed me to the stables. We both looked at the horse.

"Well I didn't think this through...."

Legolas looked at me in silence.

"I don't care if I have to push this chair through the woods. I will."

I turned towards the woods and Legolas ran back into the stables. I wondered why he hadn't said good bye. I heard a horse strutting towards me. I turned the chair around to see that Legolas had brought a horse and it had some king of wooden seat on it, complete with a harness and leg braces.

"It was for your birthday..."

"Thank you."

I smiled brightly at him.

He helped me saddle onto the horse and I kissed him on the cheek.

"I'll keep in contact. Remember... you don't know where I went. If your father squeezes it out of you say I'm going to visit Gandalf."

Legolas smiled.

"You know he won't believe that."

I shrugged.

"It's worth a shot."

I grabbed his hand.

"I will bring her back."

The night finally crept over me. My butt was sore from all the bumps and I felt a rock. I felt like I was stuck. Well...I was stuck. Without anyone to help me I had no way down. I kept seeing signs that I should've stayed home, but there was no way I can see Thranduil again without the urge to beat him. I figured sleeping on a horse wouldn't be as bad as riding it. I tried closing my eyes but it took me forever just to fall asleep.

I woke up sweaty and shivering. I remembered my dream from last night:

I could see Thranduil with Galadriel. I was like air in the room: I was there but no one could see me.

"Galdriel you need to help my father," Thranduil said.

Galadriel circled around him.

"I'm afraid I cannot just interfere in your father's affairs. It is not wise to do your father's business Thranduil."

"You can do something. We are entering this war outnumbered!"

"Both Oropher and I have kingdoms to protect you must realize this."

Galadriel looked at Thranduil and the sorrow in his eyes seemed to have some effect on her.

"By fighting against fate there comes a price. I will give you reinforcements."

"But...?" Thranduil asked annoyed that there was always compensation.

"I have seen the darkness escalading."

"We all know.." Thranduil said rolling his eyes.

"Yet there is one who will be sent with a gift."

"What does this gift have to do with me?" He asked.

"You're going to be marrying her."

Thranduil smiled. He didn't think anything of marriage and he was prepared not to be married for love. After all he was the heir to a kingdom. Plus he had his father to protect.

"Fine," Thranduil said bowing.

It was the weirdest and most random dream. Yet it frightened me, most of the dreams I've had were visions or memories. There was no way it was a memory so I brushed it off as nothing. I put my arms together and reached up, cracking a finger or two.

After another bumpy ride and annoying mosquitoes I finally reached my destination: Rivendell. I was back home. I imagined my father being at the door to greet me. It seemed like imaging he was still alive was going to be my only strength. I rode right to the front gates before guards aimed arrows at me.

"Aranel...welcome back."

Lord Elrond walked towards me with a bright smile. I was so happy to see him until the thought that he was involved in taking away my daughter crept into my mind.

"Nice to see you," I bowed.

He led me to the front entrance and I became hopeful I would see Mara but scared because of all the time that's passed.
