"Another party?" Kol groaned as he sulked further back into the leather couch. Rebekah glared down at him, glancing at Klaus for help. Klaus held his hands up in surrender, deciding that he didn't want to be apart of this argument. "How many raves must you have? They're a waste of time. It's ridiculous teenagers wearing hardly any clothes that all bop, boogie and frolic like animals to music that sounded like it was recorded in a garbage disposal. I don't understand the point?"
"The point, dear brother," Rebekah's voice dripped with obvious sarcasm as she folded her arms defensively over her chest. "Is to have fun. And I wouldn't think that you would mind stalking teenage girls wearing hardly any clothes. Like you've always said; it's the taste that matters."
"Feeding off underage strumpets?" Kol crinkled his nose in disgust. "I'd rather have Nik dagger me in that stuffy coffin for another century."
"That can be arranged," Rebekah snapped.
"Rebekah!" Klaus snarled. "Kol is family, no matter how irritating he may be."
"Oh put a sock in it Nick," Rebekah turned to Klaus. "It's only alright if it's you threatening your siblings, but if it someone else, then they're the bad guy?"
"I'm the oldest here, Rebekah," Klaus smirked and glanced up from his small, black, sketch-book. "I get to make the rules."
"Elijah is the oldest," Kol corrected. "But seeing that our older brother is no where to be seen, I'm going to take a crazy guess and suggest that you daggered him over jealousy?"
"Jealous of Elijah?" Klaus chuckled and closed the small book, throwing it to the coffee table beside him. "Get your facts straight, Kol. Elijah left Mystic Falls because he is ashamed of us."
"Who cares?" Kol groaned. "Even I can understand why Elijah would leave."
Klaus raised an eyebrow, "This is because of Bonnie, isn't it?"
"Bonnie Bennett?" Rebekah asked and she looked between Klaus and Kol. "I thought that she didn't know you."
"She doesn't anymore," Kol growled and glared at Klaus. "I can thank Nik for that."
"You don't want her anyway," Rebekah grinned evilly. "That Professor Shane has his eye on her. Not to mention Jeremy Gilbert."
Kol shot daggers at Rebekah, and if looks could kill, the blonde Original would have been lying dead on the floor that very instant. "Jeremy Gilbert isn't a problem," Kol smiled cynically. "As for the Professor, I've been looking for an excuse to kill him anyway."
"You have already tried to kill Shane. Bonnie brought him back."
"Well, next time," Kol snarled angrily. "She won't be around to save him."
"Why are you getting so snappy?" Rebekah raised a brow. "You are talking about Bonnie Bennett. She was a part of our mother's doing to kill our family."
"And how many times have you tried to kill her friends and family?" Kol asked, and Rebekah was stunned by his reply. She looked to Klaus, and he looked back at her, not saying a word.
"Why are you acting like this?" Rebekah asked again.
"I don't need this," Kol sighed and pushed himself off the armchair. "I need something to eat." Rebekah and Klaus watched in silence as Kol left the Mikaelson Mansion, slamming the front doors closed behind him.* * *
Liars. All of them were liars.
Bonnie would never fall for an idiot like Atticus Shane. Jeremy on the other-hand, if Kol really wanted to win Bonnie over, the little Gilbert would need to be out of the picture.
Kol kicked a small rock and watched it as it soared through the air, and it began to fall into the thick bush of a tree. Kol squinted and furrowed his eyebrows. Wait a minute. He knew that tree.
He quickened his pace and shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked through the pure darkness of the night.
"Oh," Kol breathed quickly and ducked behind a tree when he saw the front door open. Bonnie's dark hair glided delicately in the cool breeze, and her caramel skin seemed to glow in the faint slither of moonlight. She had a thick sweater pulled on and it looked like she'd just woken up. Her eyes closed and Kol quickly moved, blurring further towards the house.
What was she doing awake? Why do you care? Oh, shut up!
Great, Kol was talking to himself now. Maybe Niklaus had been right, he was going mad. As Kol argued with himself, he missed the small cat that ran past him, and he jumped a little, tripping and almost collapsing into the pile of bushes. He cursed as his hands fell in front of him, and he hissed at the running cat. Kol heard the wooden floorboards creek, and he froze. Bonnie had heard him.
He looked through the bushes, pulling away the branches so it could see her. She was looking right at him, and he had to resist the urge to move. She looked down at the floor and back up at the bush, and after a long sigh, she stepped back into the house and closed the door. Kol stood up and dusted the dirt of his jeans as he slowly walked towards the house. He heard the dead-bolt slide in place, and the soft pad of feet moving further into the house. Kol stood outside and stared at the door.
All those memories, flooding through his mind.
No. He wasn't going to accept this.
Niklaus had ruined his life too many times, and he wasn't about to let another thing slip away.
Whether Bonnie remembered Kol or not, he was going to make her love him again. He turned, and blurred away. Thinking of new ways to brutally murder his older brother.
