"I still can't believe that you both turned down The Notebook," Caroline sighed as she pulled her blond hair up into a ponytail. She gave Bonnie and Elena a look that meant that she was very disappointed.
"Caroline, we watch it every single time we hang out," Bonnie smiled as she glanced back over her shoulder.
"Don't you think we should try something different?" Elena asked as she flipped through a file filled with DVD's.
"No," Caroline exclaimed. "I don't want something different. I want the same old chick-flicks and popcorn and ice-cream we used to have."
Elena and Bonnie exchanged glances. Bonnie sighed and started to look for The Notebook in the large collection of DVD's. "Forgetting one thing Care," Elena smiled as she jumped into the empty space next to Caroline on the bed.
"What's that?" Caroline asked as she raised her legs and admired her newly manicured and painted toenails.
"Your pink duck pyjama's," Elena grinned as she buried herself in the piles of soft blankets Caroline had provided. Bonnie laughed and slid out the DVD from its case. She heard Caroline groan and Elena giggled.
"I remember them," Bonnie smiled as she searched for the remote. "You almost murdered Jeremy when he spilt soda on them."
Elena laughed, and both Caroline and Bonnie jumped at her sudden outburst of uncontrollable laughs. "Oh my God," Elena managed to say after her laughing died down. "Poor Jer was terrified of you for weeks."
"Good," Caroline mumbled, but even she couldn't hide the smile that played on her lips. "He should be scared of me."
"Care, Jeremy was five." Bonnie smiled and switched on the T.V. set. "You gave the poor thing nightmares."
"And he had to sleep with me for weeks," Elena mumbled and reached for the bag of Cheetos's on the other side of the bed. Bonnie had made sure she set up a very specific layout. Elena and Caroline's vampire needs would be on one side, and the human food would be on the other. Caroline had found it funny, Elena... Not so much.
Caroline snickered and stole some of Elena's chips. She stuffed the orange coloured cheese-balls in her mouth and grinned. "Oh, nice Caroline," Elena rolled her eyes and handed her the packet of chips. "That is so classy."
"You don't need to be classy," Caroline swallowed and moved over so Bonnie could climb into the bed. "Only when there are hot guys around."
"Which means that I can eat as much as I want," Bonnie grinned but she didn't make a move for the food. "Since you and Elena are the pretty ones and get all the guys." Elena and Caroline stared at her like she was an alien creature from a completely different planet. Bonnie glanced up, detecting the sudden silence and she raised an eyebrow. "What? It's true?"
"Are you kidding?" Caroline asked, clearly shocked. "You're like an Amazon Goddess, Bonnie! I'm practically a shaved polar bear."
"Well, for a shaved polar bear, you get a lot of guys," Bonnie shrugged and sipped on her glass of water on the bedside table. She glanced at Elena's hanging jaw before she looked back at Caroline's bulging eyes. "Can you both please stop looking at me like that?"
"That's because we are sluts! No offence," Caroline turned to Elena to add the last part. "You Bonnie, are respectable and strong, and you are waiting for the right guy."
Bonne rolled her eyes and stuffed chocolate in her mouth. "Yeah, yeah," She mumbled. "Whatever. I'll be an eighteen year old virgin in a few months."
"And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that," Caroline said and turned to Elena. "Right Elena?"
"Right," Elena nodded with enthusiasm. "You don't have to lose your virginity at seventeen. Technically, that's against the law."
"And I always follow the rules," Bonnie smiled sarcastically. "It doesn't matter. Let's just watch this movie, okay?" Bonnie turned to face the television screen, not bothering to wait for her friends replies.
"Bonnie," Caroline started softly. "There's nothing wrong with being a virgin. When you find the right guy, you'll find the right guy."
"Okay," Bonnie sighed loudly, slightly annoyed. "Thank you. I get it. Can we move on now?"
Caroline opened her mouth to speak again, but the home phone vibrated loudly on the bedside table, disrupting the conversation. "Sorry," Elena mumbled sheepishly. "It's probably Damon trying to prank call me again." She sighed and reaching for the phone, bringing it to her ear. "Damon, come on. These pranks are getting old. Rick already told me that you - Wait, Rebekah?"
Elena's eyes widened and she stared at Bonnie and Caroline, asking what to do. "Speaker," Caroline mouthed and took the phone off Elena, pressing the small button on the bottom of the phone.
"Sorry to interrupt your night," Rebekah was saying, although she didn't sound so sincere. "I heard that you were having a slumber party with Caroline and Bonnie?"
"Uh, yeah?" Elena nodded in spite of herself and she motioned for Caroline to hand the phone back. "Why? Want to trash any happiness we have left?"
"No need to be snarky Elena," Bonnie could picture the smirk on Rebekah's lips as she said it and she rolled her eyes. "People will start to mistake you for Damon. Actually, I am throwing a small dance at my home tomorrow. I'm inviting you three."
The three girls exchanged confused glances, and Caroline snatched the phone from Elena's hands. "What are you up to?" Caroline demanded and she hesitated for a few seconds before she happily added, "She-Devil."
"Caroline Forbes," The smile in Rebekah's voice was practically heard. "I'm guessing the Bennett witch is there too?"
"The Bennett witch has a name, actually." Bonnie piped in.
"Right," It was obvious that the blond original wasn't that interested and she continued on. "The dance is tomorrow night at seven. If you want to come, be at the Mikaelson Mansion and dress formally. None of those disgusting, urban hippy clothes, okay?" It was obvious that the last part was to Bonnie, and the young witch bit her bottom lip to stop herself from lashing out at Rebekah.
"I know someone that is absolutely dying to meet you," Rebekah added.
"Listen," Caroline sighed. "You can tell Klaus that I am not interested."
"I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to Bonnie."
"What?" Bonnie frowned and raised a brow.
"Lovely chat. Enjoy the rest of your night while you still can." The call ended with a soft click and Bonnie winced. She knew that both Elena and Caroline were watching her.
"Okay," Bonnie took in a deep breath and leant back into the bed, reaching for the TV remote. She avoided her friend's eyes as she pressed the play button.
