Chapter 12

Hazel's POV:

Hazel leaves her house at six in the morning and heads to Nate's house. All she thought of was taking good care of Nate and most of all... She'll be seeing his parents. She met them several times and they both love her. They usually have dinners and gather together with his family at weekends. They wouldn't expect her to come to their house this early.
She finally arrives in front of his house and knocks. Mrs. Harris opens the door with a shock look on her face.

"Good morning Mrs. Harris." Hazel says with a smile.

"Now, now... What did we agree on?" She reminds.

"Good Morning Marie." Hazel says with a huge smile.

"Good morning to you Hazel dear." She says.

Hazel enters the door and givesMarie a warm hug."What are you doing here so early?" She asks.

"I plan to cook breakfast for Nate and take care of him as long as he's injured." Hazel says.

"Ahh, such an angel." Marie smiles.

"May I use your kitchen?" Hazel asks.

"Of course, go ahead." She says.

Hazel heads over to the refrigerator and gets two eggs. Of course Nate loves scramble eggs, she thinks to herself. She pops two pieces of bread in the toaster. While she was cooking; she had the bread in the toaster and she was making juice. She prepares the ice packs. She puts everything on the tray and lets it cool. She heard a barking and the dog started licking her leg.

"Hey Kimmy." Hazel says, rubbing her stomach. She barks.

"Now, now you don't wanna disturb Nate." Hazel says.

The dog follows Hazel going to the top at the room of Nate. She silently opens the door and sets the tray beside it. She waits for him at the chair and scrolls through her phone, while rubbing Kimmy. She takes a photo of Nate sleeping since she found it very cute and adorable. She stares at him the way he sleeps and slides her hands through his hair and kisses his forehead. She sighs and waits patiently. She had another bag of medical stuff and the ice packs were a need need.

She steps out of the room and she was suddenly grabbed by the waist.

"Good morning beautiful." He says.

"Why are you standing?? You should be at bed resting!" Hazel says.

"Baby I just wanted to thank you and surprise you." He says.

"Cmon let me help you go to bed." Hazel says and saw bruises on his hand.
"Nate can you use the utensils?" She asks worriedly.

"It's painful." He says.Hazels heart fills with worry.

"Lemme do it instead." Hazel offers.

"Babe, you don't have to." He says.

"Oh please." Hazel says.

Hazel kisses him on the forehead.
"You cooked those?" Nate asks. "Yes of course." Hazel smiles. Nate smiles back.

Hazel held the food and patiently waited for Nate. The cycle continues, Nate puts an arm over her arm.

"Thank you." He smiles.

"Anything for my potato." She says.

"Now drink these, these will help." She says.

She holds the glass carefully while Nate drinks it slowly. "I feel better." He says with a smile.

"That should be good." Hazel says.
