Hazel's POV:
Hazel sat down on their table while Nate got her a drink."Hey babe." He says, setting down a plastic cup infront of her and sits down beside her.
"What's in the drink?" She asks.
"It's punch." He says. She grabs the cup and takes a sip. It doesn't taste so bad.
Though, there is a little sting.
Hazel chugs down the drink and sets it down the table once more. "Gods, I feel thirsty." She sighs.
"You want one more?" He asks.
"Yeah, but I'll get it." She says.
"Are you sure? Aren't you tired in your heels?"
"Babe, you should see me run in them." She brags as she stands up.
"I'll be back in a sec."
She walks to the drinks table. "Can I get some more punch?" She asks.
"You sure about that?" Her batchmate, Clarke, asks her.
"Yeah. I'm just really thirsty." She says. He shrugs and hands her another cup and she chugs on it again.
"Easy there, chicka." He warns.
She hands him back the cup. "Thanks." She says to him before going back to Nate. She finds Nate sitting on their table. Then an unfamiliar song plays through the room, but its up beat tune makes her want to dance. She walks towards Nate.
"Let's dance!" She exclaims.
"We just did that earlier!" He shouts back. The music made it hard for them to communicate.
"But the song is nice!" She tells him. Then she remembered something. "Where's Iris?" She asks.
"Maybe went to the restroom!" He answers. Hazel shrugs. "C'mon lets go!"
Though as they were dancing, Nate noticed something off with Hazel, though he couldn't exactly point out what it was yet.
------Ammie's POV:
Jonathan took Ammie to the backstage part of the stage for prom. He pushed her against the wall and kissed her fircely.Ammie tangled her fingers through his hair, tugging him closer.
"Are we even allowed here?" She asked between kisses.
"I don't know, but who cares?" He said, before closing the gap between them once more. Jonathan moved his hands onto her waist, pulling her close, but then he noticed something.
Ammie realized he stopped kissing her and pulled away. "Babe, what's wrong?" She asks him."I thought I saw something..." he trails off. He thought he saw a figure of a person going out.
Ammie purses her lips. "Maybe now is not the best time to make out?" She asks.
"Let's wait 'till after prom." He agrees, still trying to process the doubt he sensed. Something wasn't right.
And he thinks he wasn't supposed to see that person.
"Well, I'm gonna freshen up in the restroom for a while." She tells him.
"I'm coming too." He says, then realizes how weird it sounded. "Of course, not it the restroom." He adds.
Ammie laughs. "I know, genius."
Jonathan brings Ammie out the backstage and brings her to the restroom.
Though he can't help but think that the figure was so familiar to him.
