Chapter 7: The Job

Brooke P.O.V
I woke up exhausted. My mouth tastes like mud and my hair looks like an explosion went off several times. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth after that I went downstairs and made myself some cereal I didn't feel like making a big breakfast. ( I'm lazy don't judge) I wonder what I could do today? I should find an job yeah! I'll find an job so we can get back on our feet!!!! I ran upstairs and put on an skirt and an shirt with ballet shoes. Curled my hair and put on some shades. Ready to go.
I ran into Chris while leaving. " Where are you going now?" He said with an laugh " going to find an job so we can get back on our feet" I say simply hey Says with an smirk "let me be your boss" I busted out laughing " how about no I'll see you later " him and his inappropriate jokes. I walk out and hopped in the car driving around to find an job. I checked all the places I could find like Starbucks and publix. I made my last stop at this bank They were hiring so I decided to look. " hi I'm looking for an job" I say nicely " hmm were not hiring" she rolls her eyes. Got an bitch alert here. " but there's an sign outside that says your hiring look here you I don't have time for your attitude so go get an manager!!" I say in an demanding tone

I found out my girlfriend is pregnant I wasn't happy. I can barely take care of myself now I have another person to feed. I was interrupted by Chris. " hey man" he says " what is it now?" I say unhappy I don't wanna listen to anyone else but my thoughts of that makes sense. " I really like your sister-" he says with an smirk . " listen here bud don't talk to my sister okay? She doesn't need you in her life It's already hell" Chris isn't a great guy. He's in a gang i don't know which one but he's bad news and my sister doesn't need to be in that news I won't him away from her. Maybe I sound like an over protective brother but I want what's best. And with that Chris stormed out of the room.

Brooke P.O.V
The interview went well she said I got the job which was great. Now I can start helping out instead of sitting there and making more problems. I drove home listening to music. I got out and walked inside and went to my room. I changed into something comfortable and started watching tv. I heard an knock and said " come on" it was Chris. " hey" he says while sitting next to me. " I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend?" He said shyly. I sat there in shock we've only been on one date and that was an while ago. I don't know about this. It didn't help when I looked into his eyes.... Great idea Brooke 😒😒😤😤

I could tell she was going to say no but I wasn't taking no for an answer. I pulled her close and leaned in and she was to. The next thing I knew we kissed. Fireworks went off in my stomach.

Brooke P.O.V

OMGGGGG HE FREAKING KISSED ME??? Butterflies went through my stomach. We pulled away and my face turned red as an tomato. So I covered it. I've never felt this way before he just different. " I'm gonna take you out tomorrow is that okay?" He asked me. " that would be fine" I say without trying to faint. He got up acted like nothing happened. Holy shit my brother!!! He's not going to like this but who cares!!!

The Next Morning😏

I got up by my alarm on my phone. Why do I have to get up? Oh right I have an damn job that I have to work for. I got dressed and put on my uniform and yes we have an uniform!!! Yippie ( note the sarcasm) I drove to work without eating breakfast that was an mistake I was already feeling like shit. I walked in with the fakest smile on my face. But it worked. I said good morning to everyone. I stepped behind the counter and sat down in my chair. And logged in my computer.

5 hours later.......
The day was almost over until... 4 guys came running inside with guns and said "EVERYONE ON THE GROUND NOW!!" I was so scared... He came up to me and said " GIVE ME THE DAMN CASH NOW" he pointed a gun to my head that was the first time. This wasn't supposed to happen on my first day at work....
