We pull into the driveway a little after ten. The drive home was spent in comfortable silence as we held hands in the small glow from the dashboard lights. I think we were both a little reluctant to end our date. We get out and I help carry the blankets and pillow in while the grabs the basket of leftover food. I don't see any lights on except for the light over the kitchen sink. Everyone must be in bed or downstairs. I unlock the door and step inside, followed by Harry. We spend the next few minutes putting the left over food in the fridge and taking care of the blankets and pillow. We don't run into anyone so we assume everyone's sleeping.
We both stand, leaning up against the counter, not really sure what to do. I don't want to say goodnight but know I should since Chloe will probably get up early.
"Were you thinking of going to bed?" Harry asks, turning to face me. I do the same.
"Yeah, Chloe will probably get up early so I should get some sleep while I can. I'm such a bore, I know." I shrug my shoulders, giving off a little laugh, trying not to be too loud.
"No you're not! I was actually thinking of doing the same."
"Oh ok. I had a really great time tonight, thank you." I tell him, smiling at the memory of laying beside him while we looked up at the stars.
"I had a really great time as well. I'd like to go out again if you're up to it?" He asks, and my heart races. I was hoping he would ask.
"I'd love to," I smile up at him, our eyes locking.
"I feel like I should walk you to your bedroom door, since I didn't get to walk you to the front door like normal dates go. I guess staying with someone you take out on a date could change things a little," he chuckles, taking my hand and leading me down the hallway to my bedroom. We stop and peak in on Chloe first. Sound asleep.
We get to my door and we stand there in silence for a minute, his eyebrows were furrowed, looking like he was having a inner battle with himself over something. I wasn't really sure was to do, should I hug him or just say good night...
"Well, good night. Sleep well." He says and leans in and hugs me. I hug him back, sad it wasn't a kiss and also sad that it didn't last longer. He turns to go to his room and I remember something.
"Wait a second," my voice full of humor, "I think I read something, somewhere, not sure it's true or not, but I read that you kiss on the first date...." I leave it open, letting him taking it the way I hope he does. That I want to kiss him. He stands there looking at me, he bites his bottom like like he's trying not to smile.
"Or if you don't that's fine too..." I say, starting to feel a little embarrassed that I even brought it up.
"You know," he says, taking slow, deliberate steps towards me. " I was trying to decide if I should kiss you or not. I want to, badly, but I wasn't sure if it would be to soon for you or to forward of me." I admits, taking the last steps, closing the small gap between us.
"You know," I tease, "you are such a gentleman."
"I don't want to be right now," he says, his voice low and husky. He takes one of my hands in his and brings his other hand and cups the side of my face, running his thumb along my cheek.
"Then don't be..."
He leans down and lightly presses his lips on mine, tentatively at first. He pulls back a little and locks eyes with me, silently asking me if I'm sure it's ok. I answer him by standing up on my tip toes and pressing my lips to his. He doesn't hesitate to deepens the kiss. There was this electric current running through my body, causing me to shiver. I reach up and wrap my hands around his neck, his hands travel to my back, hands splayed, covering my back, pressing our bodies closer. He runs his tongue over my bottom lip, my lips automatically part, granting him access.
