Hazel
The ride home was quiet, a comfortable quiet. Harry rests his hand on my thigh as he drove, eyes forward and concentrating on the road. Chloe was passed out in the back, had a busy night with her aunts and my parents.
Despite the drama with Danielle, the night seemed to go pretty well. After the little talk Autumn and I had with Danielle, she apologized to Harry and our parents and was in a better mood the rest of the night. I know things are far from fixed but I think tonight started us on a path to amend things between the three of us.
"Hey, so I forgot to ask earlier," Harry's deep voice breaks the silence, "we have this party tomorrow, with the record producers and all the important people, and I was wondering if you wanted to join me? I know there will be press there, but Paul could sneak you in the back and I could meet you inside. Everyone at the party won't say anything about us, they respect privacy and want their privacy respected, so we won't have to worry about being seen together at the party." Harry rushes to finish. I can tell he's worried. I know he wants us to be a couple, and I know he knows I want to keep our relation hush hush from the press and paparazzi for now, but I'm sure it's hard on him. For someone always in the spotlight, he now has to try and fit me in his lifestyle without exposing me and our relationship to the world. I feel bad, but I know once I'm seen with him, the paps will be all over trying to figure out who I am and follow me around, I've heard plenty of stories. I have Chloe to watch out for, that's my main priority.
"Are you sure that won't be to much trouble?" I ask, hesitantly. Looking over at him, his face illuminated by the soft glow of the dash lights.
"Not at all. I can talk with Paul tomorrow and set everything up. I would really love it if you joined me," he looks over at me and smiles before turning back to the road.
"I would love to go," I tell him. He squeezes my thigh and I see him smile.
We make it home and it's just before nine. We get in and I take Chloe out of her seat and head to her room to get her ready for bed. She was exhausted, she slept through the diaper change and getting her pajamas on. She had a bottle before leaving my parents so I just laid her down in her crib and turned the monitor on before leaving her room.
I find Harry in the kitchen, getting a glass of water. I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist, leaning my head against his back.
"Well hello," he chuckles, turning so I'm looking at his chest now. He sets his cup on the counter and holds my face in his hands, leaning down and kissing me.
"Did you want to go sit outside? It's beautiful out tonight," I ask, wanting some alone time. The guys and Sidney were in the living room watching a movie and I didn't want to join them just yet.
"I'd love to," he says, taking my hand and leading me to the patio doors. We find one of the lawn chairs and Harry sits down first, leaning back and holding his hand out for me. I sit between his legs, my back resting against his front. I lean my head back against his chest and look up at the stars, like we did on our first date.
"Stars are beautiful tonight," Harry states, wrapping his arms around me.
We lay there and look up at the stars for awhile, both comfortable just being in each other's company. The night air was warm but comfortable, the crickets making music while the trees rustled now and then with the night breeze. It was perfect.
"Harry, about what you said tonight," I began.
"Hey, I know I never told how about my house in LA but I know..." Harry began, almost in a panic, I felt his body tense.
