Hazel
It was great having Harry back. My previous worries weren't fully gone but I could tell that Louis and Liam were right, Harry loves me. I can tell by the way he looks at me, how he smiles when he catches me staring at him or when I walk into the room. He still makes my heart flutter and my stomach to do flips. I don't think I'll ever lose that feeling.
Harry was super tired after traveling so we ended up going right to bed after we put Chloe down for the night. He did want to fool around though but after some extreme embarrassment on my part and some ridiculous period jokes, Harry pulled me to his chest and held me. Thats how we stayed for the rest of he he night.
It was now Saturday and breakfast was over and I was washing Chloe up. Harry was still sleeping and I don't blame him, he had a long flight and must have some jet lag. He needs his rest for the concert tonight.
"Alright miss Chloe, what would you like to wear today?" I'm holding Chloe and looking in her closet at all her clothes. She has more than I do, it's quite ridiculous how someone who isn't quite one yet has so much clothes. And they aren't even going to fit her in a month or so. She just reached for everything so I decided on having her wear the dress with the pink skirt that Sidney just bought her.
Being a mother has been the greatest blessing. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I felt like I had a purpose in life, to make this little girl happy and to raise her to be a strong, independent woman. That was my goal, to get her to be independent so she didn't have to depend on others for her success and happiness in life. I want her to make her own happiness and do what she loves. She will probably make mistakes, like we all do, like I did, and I will be there to support her through it all, just like my mom did for me.
I slide on Chloe's white converse shoes and she is all ready. I should get ready to but I don't want to wake up Harry so I decide to just go play in the living room with Chloe.
I'm really surprised that I'm the only one up. It's almost ten thirty, I figured Sidney would be up. Oh well, I'll enjoy this quiet time with Chloe. I know I won't be seeing her for a week after tonight.
I sit there and watch Chloe lift herself into a standing position by the coffee table and watch her remove one hand from the table and take a hesitant step before removing her other hand and finding her balance before taking another step towards me. And another, and another before falling on her bottom. I couldn't contain my excitement! I cheered, probably a little to loud, and clapped my hands.
"You did such a good job Chloe! I'm so proud of you!" I praise her, feeling so happy and excited that she has reached this milestone. I can't wait to show Harry.
I pick Chloe up and set her on her feet, her back against the couch so she was facing me. I reached my arms out to her.
"Walk to mama Chloe," I urged her, smiling at her while she contemplated whether or not she wanted to or not. "Come on, you can do it. I know you can," I urge her some more.
Finally after a few seconds she pushed off a little from the couch and took the four steps to get to me, wrapping her tiny arms around my neck. I hugged her and told her how proud I was of her. I know I was probably being a little louder that necessary but I was just so excited, this was huge! She has been trying to walk for a month now.
"What's all the excitement out here?" Harry says sleepily from the doorway of the living room. I look up and smile at his just woke up look. Hs hair was sticking up in a few places and his eyes were half opened like he was having a hard time waking up. I felt a little bad for waking him up knowing how tired he was but I just couldn't contain my excitement.
