KITTY HAD BEEN SURPRISED BY the invitation from Tiff to accompany her to go wedding dress shopping. She had gone with Richie to drop Eva off at Tiff's place and that's when the blonde decided to ask, to which Kitty had agreed to, going to the wedding dress shops that weekend with Tiffany, Sugar, Eva and one of Tiff's work friends, Amy.

Kitty and Tiffany hadn't ever been overly close, but they did always consider each other as family. Even when Kitty and Richie weren't getting along back in the day. But now, it seemed like their bond had gotten stronger, especially when Tiffany gushed about how happy she was to see Richie happy once more, having feared he wouldn't have had been able to get over the divorce.

Kitty had worried that she would have been seen as over-stepping. Especially when it came to Eva, but Tiffany assured her that she wasn't and that it was amazing to see her relationship with Eva blossoming.

And after the shopping trip was done and Tiff picked out a dress, Kitty drove herself and Eva to Richie's place. She used the key he had given her to unlock the house and enter it with a sleepy Eva in her arms.

The moment Richie saw them stumbling inside. Eva on Kitty's hip whilst a bag of take-out food in her other hand, he rushed over to help, chuckling as he watched her trying to kick the door close.

She passed him Eva and he took her up to her bedroom to settle her down, whilst Kitty locked the front door and made her way to the kitchen to plate up their food.

"How was dress shopping?" Richie asked, entering the kitchen and wrapping his arms around Kitty's waist from behind. Resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Went really well," Kitty told him, turning around in his arms. She hung hers around his shoulders, her fingers finding the hair at the nape of his neck.

She watched as his eyes closed momentarily at the feeling of her fingertips dancing on the sensitive skin, before he opened them again and stared at her. Blue meeting green. Sea meeting forest. A stormy sea by the looks of it.

She moved her hand to his cheek, his stubble scratching at her palm. A feeling she had grown to love. A feeling that felt like coming back home.

"What's up?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.

Richie let out a deep sigh, but it didn't seem to clear his lungs or mind of anything, "Nothin'," He mumbled, "It's alright."

"Well, that's a giant lie," Kitty said, sending him a pointed look.

"Food's getting cold," Richie stated, nodding towards the plated food behind Kitty's back.

"Stop trying to change the subject."
