You woke up early this morning, feeling too restless to get more sleep past 4am.

You were sitting down on the floor in the training room, back pressed against the hard wall with your legs stretched in front of you.
Your feet were covered by a fresh pair of point shoes, gifted by Noah and Sam, who teamed up to make you this little project, claiming your own pair is too worn to use.

Focused. As much as you could be in the middle of the night, you tried to plan a day out for the group.

You didn't take the team's work for granted, and even if you wanted to, they won't let you go without a reminder how hard they try just for you.
You did think they deserved it. Even if some of some, if not, most of the missions didn't go quite as planned, it still matters nonetheless.

And you know better than letting them whine to death for not 'living their best years'.

You wrote down a few options you had in mind.

•movie night
• mixed holidays party
•

Two ideas are still a few, right?

Your toes touched the ground as you wiggled the pen between your finger and thumb, trying to get your cyborg brain to get creative.

But your quiet was stopped by the faintest of knocks on the door, waiting a beat before it opened slowly.
Behind it, you saw Aiden in his matching Lego pajamas and messy bedhair.
Standing there, looking at you with his big brown eyes through even bigger glasses. A small pout was on his lip, and with his tired eyes, he looked lost.

"Is everything okay, Aiden?"

A soft sniff.
He rubbed his eye with the back of his fingers, causing the glasses to lift a little before he opened his mouth to clear his throat, answering you with his usual soft tone "I had a bad dream, and Tommy's door is locked."

You knew where he went with it.
While everyone pitched in on raising them, Tommy was the main caretaker of the twins, which meant they usually went to seek comfort in her.

You nudged you chin up at him, telling him silently to come sit next to you. And he does, without a doubt.
"I'm thinking about doing something enjoyable. I was at the orphanage yesterday, and now that it's all taken care of, I can afford to give you all a day off."

Aiden listened carefully to your words.

Unlike his twin sister, he was far calmer and containable. He's much quieter, taking his time with opening up to people and keeping his thoughts to himself.
It took a spot in what you have instead of a heart, the difference between the two, and you knew the rest cherished it just as much.

"I thought about a movie night or maybe a party where we can have all the holidays at once."

His knees folded up, head resting on top of them as he considered your offer. "I think they like parties. And we never decide on a movie, Josh and Sam yell at each other and we just watch them."

He's right.
you hummed back in response, moving your eyes slowly to look at him. "Do you have any other ideas? I'd let you choose whatever."

Your chest tightened at his reaction.
Tiny lips curling up shyly, eyes still tired but much softer.
You knew he was the sweetest boy.
"Can we have latkes? With cream cheese?"

"You'd have to help make them. You know how Caleb gets with them." Yoi teased lightly. Letting him get your somewhat softer side.

You heard him muffle a laugh. "yeah- last year, he made like - like maybe a hundred of them. Lil got so sick that she couldn't see them anymore." His eyes lit up as he spoke, suddenly excited at the memory.
