Have you ever wondered what clique you belong in?
There are so many different groups. Jocks. Nerds. Populars. Gamer geeks. Goth.
Guess everyone has a place. I have been searching for the clique that I belong in, and I have discovered that I might not belong in a specific group.
My name is Cassidy Brooks, I am getting ready to start school at Jamestown High, even though we have stayed in the same house, there was a new high school that was just built, so my mom enrolled me there. I wouldn't say that I am popular, but I also wouldn't say that I am a complete loner.
It is August 30th and school starts today!!!! I am quite apprehensive about it! I am becoming a Junior, I just have one more year till I graduate!!
----------------------------------------------"Cassidy!!!!!" My mom calls. Ever since fourth grade, this is how my mom would wake me. She just stands at the bottom of the steps yelling my name. I sleep in the "attic." Well it used to be the attic before we moved here. My mom bought this two bedroom house ten years ago. There are five people in my family, my mom, Alec(my mom's helpful boyfriend), my older brother Chance, Violet(my younger sister), and me.
Currently, I share the attic with Chance and Violet. They get on my nerves all the time because of their sloppiness. Sadly i was cursed with a semi OCD problem. I'm the one who just has to keep everything clean. Ugh! It is very cramped in our little space up in the attic, but I learned to live with it.
Anyways, the first bedroom is used as my mom's bedroom. And the second bedroom is Alec's office. It became Alec's office when Chance decided to drop out of high school! Chance is the one to blame for all three of us sharing the same room.
----------------------------------------------
Thirty minutes later"Cassidy!!!" It's mom again. Probably should have gotten up the first time.
"Yes mom!?!" I yell back. After five minutes without an answer, I figure that I have to get up, and get Violet and Chance up.
While I am getting out of my bed, I quickly set up my pillows and my blanket just as I like it, so that my bed looks nice and neat. With my green main pillow at the back surrounded by three of the smaller purple pillows, then is the long black and white
Polka dotted pillow. And the final touch is my orange basketball shaped pillow to add the contrast. If you can't tell, my favorite colors are green and purple, and my favorite sport is basketball."Violet!!! Wake up!!" I practically yell in her ear. Then I start to vigorously shake her back and forth. She is a pretty heavy sleeper. Finally she wakes up right as I am about to smack her across the face.
"What do you want?!" Was all that she said before her eyes closed again.
"Guess I am gonna have to pour this water on your head if you don't get up in ten seconds." I always threaten to pour water on her face because it works every time. There was one time where I actually went through with it, and since then, she has always gotten up when I threaten her with water.
"Ok, ok I'm up." She exclaims, slowly rising off of her unmade bed.
"Can you please get Chance up!?" I ask Violet politely.
"Ugh, fine!!!" She replies annoyed. As she walks into the other half of the room, where Chance sleeps, I quickly grab a pair of capris, and a white tank top with a blue cardigan, and race downstairs. Every morning, it is a race to the bathroom first. We only have two bathrooms, and my mom has one as her own personal bathroom, so we aren't allowed to use it. The only reason we race to the bathroom is because we want privacy, we don't want to see each other get dressed. Ewwww!
When I get out of the bathroom, Violet is standing at the door with her clothes in a messy bundle in her arms. I just can't stand my siblings messiness!!
I check the clock to see how much time I have until the bus comes. It is currently 5:55am, I have about an hour, until we have to leave for school. I sit down at the kitchen table waiting for my mom to tell me what I can have for breakfast.
