Once again, I'm not sure if I should say something.................. I couldn't imagine one of my family members passing away.

We sit there for a few moments in complete silence.

I want to take her into my arms and kiss her everywhere. On her forehead, her small freckle on her neck, the freckle shaped like a star on her nose, her small ears, then her warm lips............ But I can't. This is not the right time or place for that.

I grab her arm, and take her over to the curb. I take a seat on the curb. And I wrap my arms around Cassidy's waist. We just wait for a few seconds embracing each other. "Shhhh, everything will be alright, I promise." I say trying to comfort her. She's starting to cry again.

"When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Therefore, your dad will always be with you." I whisper.

She giggles and escapes from my grasp. She then sits down on the curb next to me.

"If my dad was always with me, wouldn't it be weird if he was with me right now? Me sitting next to an attractive guy, and firmly holding his hand." Cassidy explains letting the last of her tears trickle down her cheek.

She called me attractive......... And she intertwined her fingers with mine in a different way than usual. I am so warm inside!

"I could say the same about you....... But, I would say a sexy......... I mean.... Attractive young lady!" I stutter on my words. Sometimes I speak before I think! And this is one of those times.

She stares into my eyes. She eventually realizes that I notice her staring, she give a small smile, and turns her head away.

Cassidy POV

I turn away from Adrian. When I look back I see him biting his lip. Ugh! My heart just melts! I don't know why, but I LOVE it when guys bite their lip! It's a total turn-on!

"I feel you. I mean, when my mom died, I was pretty young. It isn't a nice feeling to know that someone close to you will die. It's just part of life." Adrian explains, going back to biting his lip.

"We should probably do homework, shouldn't we?"
