December 14th
Violet POV
"Morning sleepy-head!" Well, Cassidy's in a good mood this morning! But I'm not quite up yet, so I throw a pillow at her.
"Get up!!!!" She shouts hitting the pillow against my back. I slowly sit up.
"I'm up........ I'm up!" I reply sliding back down so that I'm laying down again.
"Ugh! Whatever!" Cassidy finally gives up and stomps downstairs.
I walk towards my dresser and pull out a pair of jeans, and a blue t-shirt. I throw them on, and just as I finish, Chance walks into the room. So I'm forced to pull my shirt down really fast. "Mornin' Vi!" Chance says not even looking at me. He looks really tired!
I run down the stairs and into the kitchen. Mmmmmm!!! I smell Cassidy's 'famous' cinnamon roll pancakes! They are my favorite!! It tastes like a Cinnabon cinnamon roll!!! Like heaven!!!
"Happy birthday Vi!!" Cassidy says handing me a plate of pancakes. Mmmmm!!! I then grab the cream cheese glaze and pour it onto my pancake!
I totally forgot they it is my birthday today! I'm fifteen years old!!!!! This is amazing!!!! I can get my drivers permit. Yay!!
Today is also the last day of school before Winter Break. I am so happy because yesterday we got a ton of snow, so I'm hoping that this Winter will be amazing!!!
"Hey Cassidy...... Do you mind if I drive us to school today?" I ask bringing out my puppy dog eyes.
"I guess so, since it's your birthday, but you have to be carful, the roads are quite slick!!" Cassidy says looking at me with a nervous grin on her face.
"Morning kids!!! Happy birthday Violet!! My little girl's so grown up!" Mom says walking into the room, then she kisses my forehead.
"It's 6:55am, better get to school!! Have a great day!" With that mom kisses Cassidy and I, and then rushes to her car, and drives to work.
Cassidy grabs her bag, and her keys, then she walks out the door. "Let's go Violet!" She shouts.
"Coming!" I reply hurrying out the door.
"Bye Chance!!" We both yell hopping into the car. I am in the drivers seat!! Omg!!
"Ok, now start the car...... Check your mirrors and put your hands at ten and two, and put the car in reverse." Cassidy explains nervously. Her car is like her baby, she hasn't crashed, or even gotten a scratch on it! It's a 2014 silver Mercedes Benz. She cleans it out, literally every week!
"Don't worry, I won't hurt your baby......"I exclaim. Just then I put the car in reverse, and bump into the curb.
"Starting now!" I say with an apologetic grin on my face.
"Just shut the fuck up and drive!" Cassidy replies angrily.
We arrive in one piece at school. Plus a few scratches on the back of Cassidy's car, but she doesn't notice them...... Yet.
We walk in the front doors of the school and we split up. Cassidy goes to meet Adrian and then disappears around a corner. Then I decide to go meet my friends!
"Hey!" I exclaim when I see Mason. My relationship with Daniel didn't last very long, I caught him cheating on me with a girl his age, so I decided that I should find someone my age. So I met Mason, he's not my boyfriend........ Yet.
"Hey Vi!" He says walking closer to me. He gives me hug, and then Stacia, Brianna, Zoe, Chloe, Scarlet, Brandon, Austin, and Leo all come barging down the hall.
"Hey love birds!" Chloe calls, which makes Mason let go of me. He runs his fingers through his hair, and steps back embarrassed.
"Hey guys! What's up?" Mason says, his voice is a little shaky. He walks over to Austin and does this weird hand shake thing. They are best friends!
*BRRIINNGG*
Time for first period! Mr. Raymond's geometry class! Luckily all of my friends are in my first period, so we get to talk on the way to class.
When we get to Mr. Raymond's class, I take a seat next to Kelly Dobbs. She is a very chatty person, I always get in trouble because she keeps talking to me and I try to make her be quiet.
"Ms. Brooks, is there a problem?" Mr. Raymond scolds. Kelly just started talking to me, so I had to shush her, but of course Mr. Raymond looks at me when she talks! Ugh!
"Ummm...... No, I-" Before I finish my sentence someone speaks over the intercom.
"There is a lock down in session, this is NOT a drill! I repeat, this is NOT a drill! Everyone listen to your teachers for further instructions."
Oh shit!! I've never been in an actual lock down! "Everyone crowd in to that corner over there now!!" Mr. Raymond shouts pointing to the small corner of the room where there are no windows. Yep! This is definitely not a drill!
The class follows his instructions, and everyone is sitting in the corner.
