Chapter 12

Adrian POV

This is so much fun!! Especially since half of the girls have their shirts off! " Let's play a game!!" Dai shouts.

"Like what?" I ask.

"Like........ Chicken fight!" Dai yells jumping on Baden's shoulders.

"You know we aren't in a pool, right?" Cassidy explains.

"So? It will be easier to knock each other over!" Dai shouts back.

Ugh! We have to choose partners! And I am going to be partnered with Cassidy! I will make sure of it!

"I'll assign the groups!" Dai exclaims.

"Me and Baden, Caden and Logan, Naima and Sam, Genevieve and Levi, and Cassidy and Adrian!" Woo! That was close! I'm so glad that she made Cassidy and I be together!

Naima is the first one to get on their partner's back. She got on his shoulders quite awkwardly. "That wasn't so bad, now was it?" Sam said once Naima was finally situated on Sam's shoulders. Naima just laughed, and told everyone else to hurry up.

Caden got onto Logan's shoulders without hesitation. Then Genevieve got on Levi's shoulders. And last but not least, Cassidy! I have a lot of butterflies in my stomach by the time she sat down on my shoulders!

*time lapse: fifteen minutes*

Cassidy POV

Dai and Baden won the game, of course, they were probably the most comfortable out of all of us.

We finally decide to get out of the water. I decide not to put my shirt on because I'm still wet. The guys don't put their shirts on either. The sun is almost gone, and we are all sitting by the water staring at the sky. "This is so beautiful!" Caden exclaims hugging Logan. She's right, it is beautiful! Just then, Adrian swings his arm around by my lower back, it just barely touches my waist.

"I think that we should get going, don't ya think!?" Levi yells glaring at Adrian.

"The sun isn't all the way down yet!" Adrian replies with a smirk on his face. There is something weird going on between those two!

Dai yawns and lays her head down on Baden's lap, I can tell that he is a little uncomfortable with Dai's face on his lap, for certain reasons.

Once the sun finally sets, we wait until it is completely dark to start walking back. I'm not sure why, but we just do. Someone slips their fingers in between mine, I look up, and I see the outline of Levi's pointed jaw. I smile, even though he probably can't see me since it's so dark. We start walking hand-in-hand. "Hey Cassidy! Come here real quick!" Adrian shouts from behind. I let go of Levi's hand and walk towards Adrian's voice. I try to find my way to him, then I bump into his chest. He holds out something and tells me to take it. I take it out of his hands and push a button, a bright light shines out of it. It's a flashlight! Good thing he came prepared.

When I start to walk towards Levi, Adrian grabs my hand, so I decide to walk with him instead.

The walk back was pretty quiet, except for an occasional laugh from Dai or Caden. I guess they were making jokes or something.

When we finally arrive back at the school, I look around for my car, and remember that I didn't take it to school today.

"Bye!" I shout waving to everyone who leaves, then it's just Levi, Adrian and me........

"Do you have a ride home?" Levi asks.

"Yeah, don't worry, I'm all good!" I say smiling. Then Levi looks at Adrian and then grabs me by the waist, and starts kissing me, quite harshly, it actually didn't seem very nice. I mean, it would be a little nicer if he just gave me a little bit more space.

When he finally lets go of me, he trudges over to his car and drives off. "Hi! I'm still here you know!" Adrian yells angrily.

"Hey, I didn't want to kiss him, he just did it. Anyways, I actually don't have a ride home.......... And since you invited me, I thought that it would be better if I kept you company a little longer." I shout back nervously, but then I smile at him because I can tell that he is really jealous! He is blushing, BIG TIME!!!

"Ok, well I kind of have to pick up my siblings from daycare, and school!" Adrian says a little calmly.

"It's like eight o'clock! Why would your siblings still be at school?" I ask.

"Well, I am the only transportation for them! I'll tell you the rest in the car!"

We hop into this big silver SUV. "Wow! Why do you have such a huge car?" I ask curiously.

"It's not that big when all of my siblings are in the car." He then explains his whole life story, and how he has an 'evil' foster mom named Gloria. He finishes explaining by the time we get to the middle school.

"Hey Ian!!" The girl exclaims jumping into the car.

"Ian?" I ask confused........

"They call me Ian, instead of Adrian." He explains.

"Oh! That's cute!" I reply making him blush even more.

"Ooooo!! Is this that girl you've been talking about!?" The boy yells.

"Tommy!" Adrian shouts looking at him.

"Don't worry, we won't tell her that you have been talking about making out with her since the first day of school." The girl whisper/shouts so that I can just barely hear everything that she just said.

"Quinn!" Adrian yells even louder this time and then tries to cool off before getting back into the driver's seat. His face is still as red as a tomato.

"Anyways, how was your day at school?" Adrian asks Quinn and Tommy.

"Same-ole-same-ole!" They both reply.

"So where to next?" I ask looking back at the kids.
