For Season 6, I'll be using Unicorn of War's rewrite! I extremely advise you to watch it to get the context of what I'm writing, as I'm only doing it from Aerilyn's POV!
"Princess, we have another issue down in Alama. Citizens are displeased with the cost of transporting goods." A guard said, in hand holding a sheet of paper. Aerilyn rubbed the bridge of her nose and sighed.
"Of course, I'll get on that." She responded, and with that, the guard nodded and exited the room. Streams of light filtered through the curtains as she sat in the boardroom. Leather chairs lined a grand oak table - which had a growing mountain of duties she had to attend to. She had insisted that her father and mother take a break from royal duties, and opted for her to control everything in their absence. Little did she expect everything to be so overwhelming. Rising from her seat, she made her way over to the curtain and created a small air current to draw them open.
There, she was overlooking the royal garden, air lilies lining the edges. She sighed. It had been a while since she'd seen her friends, off doing their own business, and she was feeling lonely. Opening her phone to scroll through social media, she came across a picture of Diablous and his boyfriend. Even if she had accepted that she and Diablous were not to be, it still stung seeing him look so happy - happier than he ever did with her. The Figure hadn't contacted her or was even a presence in her life, she didn't know what to make of that.
"Enough moping, I've got a kingdom to run." She muttered to herself. "But perhaps a bit of sunlight wouldn't hurt - Stella would agree." Deciding to merge both her duties and take a break, she informed the staff that she would be going to Alama to sort the issue herself. Climbing into the royal carriage, she observed her surroundings with a detached interest - it wasn't doing much to lift her spirits. As she disembarked from the carriage, she greeted the citizens with a forced smile and walked to the Mayor to discuss the issue. "Your majesty, it's an honour to have you here. We're pleased you're willing to hear our request." The old woman said with a soft, professional smile.
"Of course, Mayor, I take the well-being of my citizens very seriously. Even if it's just export prices."
"The future of the Skyaldia is in good hands." But just as they were walking towards the conference building, a person pushed through the crowd, pointing a finger at her.
"Our planet's future is in jeopardy. What good is it in her hands when she is responsible for the Magic Dimension almost being destroyed!?" The memories of her breakdown came flooding back. Forcing back any negative emotions, she forced a smile and ushered the guards back from apprehending the person.
"I assure you, citizen, I only have the planet's best interest at heart." But the damage was already down, and the crowds began to mutter amongst themselves. "She is a danger." "She's far too powerful." "Maybe we would be safer with someone else."
"Come, dear, let's discuss our issues without the public involved." The Mayor said with a sympathetic smile as she led her into the conference room. Aerilyn took one look back to see the person glaring at her with contempt and fear before the guards blocked her view.

The next few days were a blur of uninteresting duties and the constant nagging guilt she felt after the stranger's words towards her. She was a danger to the Magical Dimension, not only because of her powers, but because of her connection to The Figure. Would her planet truly be safe with her as a ruler? She may not become Queen until her father's passing, but that didn't mean she didn't worry about her future. Just then, her thoughts were interrupted by a notification on her phone. The Spark's Festival. She'd almost forgotten that she agreed with her friends to meet up back in Alfea to celebrate it with Bloom, and suddenly, the future didn't seem so gloomy.
