now, after all the games and training, some players were doing extra practice in the volleyball gyms.

konoha had asked you earlier if you wanted to help him and washio by setting to them whilst they hit. you told them you could, but you also wanted to hang out with your old friends from karasuno, so you did a little bit of both. you didn't tell konoha that, however.

in the main gym, you played two on two-on-two with asahi on your team versus suga and daichi.

"wow, y/n. i know you haven't been playing but you got a lot better since your karasuno days..." suga breathed out after finishing the little match you guys had. you all we're going to sit down and have some water.

"yea, for real," asahi exclaimed while taking a seat on the bench in the gym, "i did not expect me and you to win against those two idiots. what have you been doing at fukurodani anyways that made you a volleyball god?" 

"well, i'm sure you're aware that we don't have that many players, despite how good we are. so here and there i help out with practices and scrimages. just doing my best to be the manager i can be."

you could tell the boys were trying to hold in their laughter, but utterly failed as they all started bursting out with laughter.

"what??", you stand up  and exclaim, " i am a great manager, okay!"

"im sure yo are a great manager, y/n! i mean, all i remember you being great at was creating chaos and distracting us all time, but everyone can make a new leaf!" suga said while laughing at you.

daichi corrected him, "suga, its turn over a new leaf."

"oh."

"but anyways, lets talk about your team, anyone specific that is your favorite?" asahi leans in and asks you.

" well, i love them all!! bokuto is really good and needs constant praise so i have kinda become his personal cheerleader, akashi has become my best friend probably. oh and washio and komi are so funny, like actually."

"anyone else??"

"um, well i guess there's konoha- OH MY GOSH KONOHA I FORGOT!," you jump up and up your sneakers back on, running towards the door," bye guys!!"

how could you forget? hopefully it wasn't too late and he still needed help. you knew konoha had always appreciated specifically your help and you have always appreciated him asking you to help him. you ran to the other side of the training grounds to find the second gym, it it was empty. the nets were put away and nobody was there, indicating that they had already let and gotten ready for bed. you sighed in defeat before turning around and finding where you would be sleeping.

after you got ready for bed, you went to where the fukurodani boys were staying to talk to konoha. you walk down the hallway and knock in their door, waiting. akaashi opens it, you could tell he was tired.

"hey y/n. you okay?" he asks.

"yea, are you okay?"you wonder, " you look exhausted."

"well, handling bokuto for a whole day has been very tiring. oh, and the training camp wore me out a little bit too."

"makes sense. you should get some rest okay? i just came here to say goodnight to all of you guys, and I wanted to speak to konoha."

"oh, is it in a mood because of you?"

"is he really that upset?just get him for me, please. thanks akashi and goodnight." he smiles to you and walks inside. you lean you back against the wall, thinking of what to say.

konoha peeks at the door and looks lost until your eyes meet, his pupils dilating immediately.

"hey, you okay? im sorry i didn't come help you, it's completely my fault. i had just lost track of time, i was hanging out with the karasuno guys." you motion down the hallway for the two of you to walk.

"its fine." you could tell it wasn't.

"what did you and washio end up doing?" you tried to continue the conversation to see if you could cheer him up.

"washio was never coming on the first place, i just wanted to spend time with you." konoha mumbles so quietly you could barely hear the last part.

"what did you say?"

"nothing, i'll see you tomorrow, if you aren't with your karasuno friends."

you scoff, " are you really that mad that i'm
spending time with them? i haven't seen them in months, and it's not like your my—nevermind."

"whatever, i'll see you tomorrow." he turns and starts to walk toward his room.

"konoha..," you say as he stops, "i don't like anyone going to bed mad. just say you aren't mad at me, please."

with a slight smile and tired eyes, konoha replies,"i could never truly be mad at you, y/n."
