"So how's it possible you get along with a gorilla like Todo?" Nobara questions, a hint of disgust in her voice.

The four of us are gathered around Megumi's bed, munching on pizza and chatting idly. Megumi is still recovering from the injuries he sustained from yesterday, but he seems to be doing better at least.

"Well..." The pink-haired boy begins. "The two of us got along...but it was like, I mean—I do remember everything, but it feels like I wasn't exactly myself at the time..." He places a finger on his temple as if he's trying hard to remember.

Nobara scoffs, leaning closer onto the bed. "What do you mean? Were you drinking?"

"You seriously believe I could have been drinking liquor in a situation like that?" Yuuji sighs, giving her an incredulous look. "That would've been insane..."

"Anyway," He turns to Megumi with a smile on his face. "I'm just glad your injuries weren't too serious, Fushiguro." He turns to me next. "You too, Kira. I can't believe you took a beating like that!"

I rub the back of my neck, a sheepish smile on my face. "Yeah, it was pretty intense..."

"No kidding," Nobara chimes in, shaking her head. "You both were pretty messed up."

Yuuji holds up his piece of pizza, "Well, to both of your healths and this pizza!" He lifts up the pizza, opens his mouth, and takes a huge bite.

Megumi scoffs. "You could have brought me something easier to digest..."

Nobara just hums, her mouth full of pizza. "No complaining."

Megumi glances down at the blue blanket covering him. "Apparently, I got off easier because my cursed energy was all gone. And Ieiri was still able to fix me up as soon as the roots were removed."

"Yeah, but at least Shoko-san was here to help." I chime in, a grateful expression on my face as I recall being healed by Shoko and the immediate relief it brought. "She's a life saver."

Megumi nods in agreement, leaning back against the pillows. "She's great. I'm glad we have her on our side." Suddenly he turns to Yuuji. "Itadori."

Yuuji pauses mid bite to look at him, "Huh?"

"You know..." Megumi's expression is serious, staring intently at his lap. "You've grown a lot stronger. Before, we both said that we stood by our convictions. I still think that's true.

But then on the other hand...one could say" He looks up at Yuuji. "That we're both wrong about all that."

Yuuji's expression falters, suddenly looking confused.

Nobara leans in closer, "Some questions don't have any answers. Don't think so hard, you'll go bald."

I giggle at this and look down at my lap. I sort of drop off the conversation after this. My mind is occupied on something else instead. I twirl the bracelet that Gojo gifted me around my wrist. The bracelet is a white knotted string bracelet with light pink beads woven in, which so happened to be my favorite color.
