"Are you seriously going to sleep here?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong niya. The sound of Jeron sleeping in her bed had been ringing inside her ear for almost forever. Kahit wala naman talaga 'nun. Walang forever! she thought bitterly, remembering all of her past relationship.

"Oo nga," he yawned, "Ask Tito and Tita pa kung gusto mong mapatunayan." sabi pa nito habang inaayos ang kama niya.

"Hey, stop that!" she reprimanded and glared at him, "Kung matutulog ka dito sa kuwarto ko, sa sahig ka!" dagdag pa niya ng nakapameywang.

"Ayoko nga. If you do that I'll tell Tita and Tito."

Binelatan niya ito. "Sumbongero!"

Even if she was opposed to the idea, she was left with no choice but to let him sleep with her. And besides, it's not like she never slept with him. She did, a lot of times already. The only difference now is that they weren't doing it for their grades.

Hindi siya makatulog kaya bumaba siya sa kusina para magtimpla ng gatas. It was something that she could never live without. It keeps her alive and going. Hindi kasi talaga siya makatulog nang hindi umiinom ng gatas e.

Naupo siya sa lamesa at kumuha ng tinapay. While she was doing that ay saka naman niya ito nakitang bumaba galing sa taas.

Tinaasan niya ito ng kilay pagkarating nito sa kanya. "What?!"

Humikab ito. "Wala lang," he answered, "Can you be kind to me even just for a day?"

It was a question she wasn't suppose to answer but she did, anyway.

"Asa ka naman. Hindi naman kasi talaga ako mabait, e. I'm like this to all my friends. Hindi lang ako sa'yo nagsusungit 'no!" mataray na sagot niya dito, "And besides what makes you think you're so special?" hirit pa niya.

Hindi ito nakasagot. Mukhang nasaktan ito sa sinabi niya. She almost wanted to feel guilty but reminded herself for all the things that he had done to her in the past.

She didn't mean it that way. It was just a question without malice but every person has a different way of interpreting things, of words. As she said earlier, mga kaibigan nga niya hindi ganun ang trato niya, sa kanya pa kaya? Well, maybe it was the tone of her voice.

It's amazing how it can change the message you are trying to convey.

She thought he deserved it for all the hurt he's been causing her the past few weeks but why is she hurting too? Why did her heart almost break when she saw his face contorting in pain? Ayaw man niyang aminin pero nasaktan siya ng makita niya iyon.

Hindi niya alam kung paano sila matutulog ng magkasama sa kama when what just happened is lingering on her head for quite some time.

Nasa labas siya ng kuwarto niya, sa may pintuan at hindi niya alam ang gagawin. Kung nauna siyang pumasok, hindi sana niya iyon prinoproblema. But that didn't happen since Jeron left right after she said that.

Bumuntong hininga siya at binuksan ang pinto. Bahala na... she thought.

Nakita niya itong nakahiga sa sahig. Her insides started grinding. Her guilt was eating her up and she never liked feeling that way. Sa ginawa niyang iyon ay para bang napakasama niyang tao.

She made her way towards her bed as quickly as possible while avoiding his gaze as as she walked past him.

Humiga agad siya sa kama niya pagkarating dito. She wanted to sleep already para hindi niya maalala ang nangyari kanina. She wanted to bury herself for being so pathetic and heartless.
