Hunter's POV

She's gone. She is really gone. Amber left after the whole Arena situation to find her father and uncle. I'm still upset but she was right, it's her family.

She never really was good with people and letting them in. But when she let me in, it was like I had a little sister again, I had someone to look after. She was a stubborn child but I loved her like she really was my little sister. She told me what to do most of the time but I still looked after her. Now, I'm back on my own.

Ever since the Arena, Jackson, Rob, and I have been bumped up to help out the Governor himself. I finally decided to talk to him and confront him what had happened, not ever feeling angry about what he did. Also, to find out why we are all suddenly training. I walked around the building, looking for his room.

Once I heard his voice, I followed it and it led me to a door slightly open.

"What's this I hear about the prison? You said you were gonna leave it alone." One said. It was a women's voice.

"Andrea?" I thought as I listened in.

"I went to negotiate. Bad enough we got biters at our gates. We can't have aggressors just miles away." Replied the other. Defiantly the Governor.

They began to argue with eachother about lies and other things until Andrea suggested that she go visit the prison herself.

"I'm going to see them. I'll work this out."

"These are all the able-bodied people we have. They're gonna carry arms and receive training. We won't get caught sleeping again." Replied the Governor as I heard click noises.

"One car. That is all I need." I peeked thought the crack in the door to see the Governor loading guns and Andrea with her hands on her hips.

"The roads are blocked. We barely made it back ourselves. Andrea-" She headed towards the door yet stopped at the mention of her name.

"You go to that prison, you stay there." She looked back at the Governor with hurt and started towards the door again. I stepped away and walked down the hallway as if I didn't hear anything. She walked out and passed me with a sad smile. I smiled back, and knocked on the door.

"C'mon in." Said the Governor. I walked in and saw Milton standing on the other side of the room.

"Hunter, what can I help you with?" Milton asked, walking towards me. I placed a hand up to stop him from coming any closer while my other hand rested on my gun.

"I need to speak to the Gov-"

"What do you need?" The Governor looked up at me as he set down a rifle into a duffle bag.

"I wanted to talk to you about what happened the other day."

"No need. It's already been settled."

"What do you mean it's been settled?"
That's when I put two and two together. The huge collection of gun, combat training. He wants to attack back at them.

"What are we gonna do, attack them in their sleep?" I asked, switching my weight onto my right foot. He just looked at me.

"We can not fight them." He sighed.

"It's war Hunter. They attacked us first, so now we have to fight back to keep what is ours safe."

"You held their people hostage. That's why they came back." The Governor stopped what he was doing and looked at me.

"Look, whatever the hell you are doing, we can't do it, not if it involves those people-" He then looked up at me.

"Your friend is with those people huh?" I froze.
