I have come to the conclusion that when people over the internet (who don't know how each other actually look like) call each other bonita or hermosa or guapa they don't mean their appearance. I think they mean their personality, like bc maybe it's your subconscious.
In our society it's like the best compliment to call someone beautiful or gorgeous. So even when we don't know how someone look we automatically call them that bc we don't know what else to say.
Honestly I hate when people say that about me before any other qualities and shit. You are saying that my best attribute is something I can't even control. Idk about any one else but I would much rather be called something else such as:
-kind/caring/considerate
-nicely tempermented
-smart
-basically anything that hasn't to do with my looks
