Episode 22

First' POV:

I got a message from View in the morning that she wanted to meet me. Urgently. I didn't like the sound of it, but what choices do I have, really? I have to respond to her and keep her delusion even though I don't like it. Just for now.

Today is a special day since I have already planned to confess to Khao properly. Things are so messy between us. I want to assure him about my feelings, my stand on this whole thing, and the fact that I need him to trust me.

I call View to get it over with. She explains to me that she misspoke with the monk who is going to facilitate our Buddhist wedding blessings and rituals. His followers are now upset, rather angry, and refused for Monk Sadhu to participate in any event that's associated with her. Monk himself was still calm, but in Thailand, disrespectful behavior towards a monk is considered a grave offense, and the focus would be on correcting the disrespectful party rather than the monk losing their temper. She was caught by the public and the followers. So Monk left the place without discussing it further. Plus many people posted online too. One thing I know View cares about is her image and her social media status.

Only one task I gave her, and she has messed it up.

This monk has always been performing all the rituals for her family, and Mr. Dollar (View's dad) respects him a lot. He follows his every word. I thought she knew him since her childhood, so she should talk properly. Her father will be upset knowing what View has done.

I listen to her whining, and she looks really frightened this time. Which is very unusual. I've never seen her this freaked out, even when she has broken so many rules, been rude to some people, and destroyed a few relationships, even across business.

I sigh and assure her I'll look into it. When I called the monk's authority contact, I got to know he had already left for Chiang Rai's white temple and wasn't available for the call. That's the good way of saying he isn't interested anymore or doesn't want to talk to us.

I conveyed this to her, and she insisted that I should "fix" it somehow before her parents return. If I was still wanting to spend married life with her, I would have helped willingly. But now it feels forced. I just finished my meetings and work to drive myself home.

I reach the condo on time and get changed real quick. As I am about to go to the rooftop, I get a call from View. I don't pick up since I already spent a good amount of time for her today. But then she messages me that she is already in the parking lot of the condo and ready to come up.

So I panic and call her, letting her know that she should come to the middle floor seating area. I don't want Khao to see her. So I want to keep her away from the condo or rooftop or elevator. Anywhere they might come in front of each other.

As I reach the middle floor, I see her being nervous again. She doesn't let me go inside the seating area but catches me off guard on the balcony. She hugs me, crying. "First I messed up...Force has found out, and he is mad at me too... he wanted him to come to bless his new project this weekend. But Monk Sadhu refused to come for that as well. What should I do?"

I try to calm her down as she hugs me. "Well...I'll try to get in touch with him, ok? I told you right? Why are you here? Just get some rest already."
