I woke up at about two in the afternoon to the smell of bacon and people arguing in the kitchen. Tom was still sleeping beside me, but Mark wasnt. So who is he arguing with?... I listened more closely to the voices and tried to determine who it was. The voice seemed eerily familiar, but i couldnt quite figure it out. That is, until I heard what they were arguing about...

"She's not here, I didn't even know you guys were fighting!" I heard Mark say.

"Then where the hell is she?! Caryn doesn't have any friends! Unless she's seeing Landon behind my back, and she better not be!!!" It was Travis. I stayed quiet, knowing he might come up here to search for me.

"Look, I don't know where she is, but as her friend, I honestly don't think she is seeing Landon, she tells me how much she hates him all the time. If she was, she wouldn't be at his house, Caryn is smarter than that. Trust me, she's not with him. Maybe she slept in her car or something."

"If you're fucking lying to me, Mark, that will be the last straw. If you see her tell her to get her ass back to the house, because she's not leaving me like this, and if I don't see her before the tour, I'm not going."

"Travis you're being ridiculous! Why the fuck do you even want her around? So you can beat the shit out of her every night and apologize every morning?! Did you ever think that maybe she's better off without you?! I know you don't love her, because if you did you wouldnt have been sleeping with that blonde bimbo of yours! Just do everyone a favor and LET HER GO. It's better that way! You know it, she knows it, WE ALL KNOW IT. Trust me, it would be for the best."

"You stay the fuck out of my business." I heard Travis say as the door slammed, which I assumed was him leaving. Mark is the greatest, sticking up for me. I heard a loud crash, like someone punching the wall, then Mark screamed "FUCK!" and I ran downstairs, making sure Travis was gone first.

*MARK'S POV*

"You stay the fuck out of my business." Travis said as he stormed out of my house, slamming the door. I'm fucking pissed, why won't he just let her go?! I just want to punch something! I slammed my fist right into my wall, leaving a hole in it and my hand bloody and starting to swell. "FUCK!" I screamed, forgetting that Caryn and Tom were upstairs sleeping. Next thing I know, Caryn is running down the stairs asking what happened. Great.

"I burnt the bacon, so I got kinda mad and punched the wall in, which left my hand like this..." I lied.

"Mark, I was awake the whole time you and Travis were arguing. Thanks for sticking up for me." She hugged me, and I started to look at her in a different way that day. She was always "Travis's girl", but that day she was something entirely new. She was single. So was I. I noticed how beautiful her hair looked, although she just woke up. I noticed the left over smell of her perfume from yesterday, and oh how beautiful it smelled. I remembered waking up and seeing her and Tom still asleep, I remember watching her sleep for a while, noticing how beautiful she looked. Caryn is my friend, and I didn't know why I was thinking like this about her, but I was starting to like her, and I knew it would only get worse from here...

*Caryn's POV*

"Holy shit Mark your hand is bleeding like crazy! We gotta get you to the hospital... Should we wake up Tom?" I asked and he just kind of stared back at me with a weird look in his eyes I've never seen before. "Hello? Earth to Mark?"

"What?..."

"I'm taking you to the hospital, should I wake up Tom?"

"Oh, yeah. Sorry, I'm kinda tired..."

"Yeah, that's it. I'll go get Tom. Get in the car, I'll drive." I ran upstairs to wake up Tom, but when I walked into Mark's room, he was already awake. He was up and dressed in Mark's clothes, which looked weird on him but they'll do. "Tom, we-"

"Yeah, I heard the whole thing. I've been up since before you were. I'm good at pretending to sleep. Let's go." We ran down the stairs and out to the car and drove Mark to the hospital. They took him in right away and said his hand was broken and he'd have to wear a cast for six to eight months. He was devastated.

"SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS?! I'M A MUSICIAN!!! DON'T YOU GUYS HAVE SOME MIRACLE CREAM I CAN PUT ON AND FIX IT WITH?! I LEAVE FOR TOUR TOMORROW!"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Hoppus, but it looks like you won't be performing in your tour, I'm sure your fans will understand." The nurse said kindly, then she walked out. Mark started sobbing and Tom just looked upset.

"What are you guys going to do?" I asked, and they wondered the same thing.

"There's two options. We can post-pon the tour entirely until Mark is healed, which could plummet our sales, or we can hire a fill-in for Mark, which could upset the fans, but we would still be playing." Tom replied.

"Caryn, what do you think we should do?" Mark asked me, wanting my opinion.

"As a fan, I would want you to be there, but at the same time the whole post-poning the tour sucks too. But, as a member of this Blink family, I think you should call Travis and work it out."

"That would be a good idea, but where would you go?" Mark asked.

"I'll just go to the park and think about things. Call him. Good luck guys, you're gonna need it." I walked out and looked at the time. It was 5:00, and I completely forgot about meeting Landon at the park. Shit. I normally meet up with him at around 2:00, and he's probably a wreck right now. Shit, I gotta find a phone. I used the hospital phone and dialed his number, which I still knew by heart. It rang twice until he answered.

"Hello?"

"Landon, it's Caryn. Look, I'm sorry for not showing up earlier, but I left Travis, and he's been searching for me. I can't talk long, but I'm going to the park now, can you meet me there?"

"Yeah I guess, but why are you calling me from the hospital?! Is everything ok?!"

"I'm fine, I'll explain when I get there. Alright, I gotta go. Bye."

"I love you, bye." He hung up before I could say anything in reply. Ugh. I walked to my car and began to drive to the park. This should be interesting.
