Rose had finally curled up on her bed, cocooned in the warmth of her blankets, seeking the kind of comfort that only solitude could provide. Her eyes fluttered closed, her body slowly sinking into that fragile space between wakefulness and sleep.

Then her phone buzzed.

The soft glow of the screen cut through the dim room like an unwelcome spotlight. With a sigh, Rose reached for it, expecting yet another trivial update-someone's story, some meaningless gossip. But the moment her gaze landed on the notification, the breath caught in her chest.

Her heart stuttered.

Gorya. On top of Thyme. Their lips pressed together.

The image burned into her vision, sharp and merciless.

"No... no, this can't be real," Rose muttered, her voice hoarse, half-convincing herself. She rubbed her eyes, scowling as if the act could erase the picture from her mind. But when she looked again, it was still there.

Her pulse quickened, her stomach sinking like a stone into dark water. Before she even had time to think, her fingers were already flying over the screen.

Rose: Gorya... what's happening?
Rose: Is that really you?!
Rose: Am I seeing things?

She stared at the little "seen" mark that never came. Minutes crawled by, heavy and cruel. The silence on the other end wrapped around her chest like a tightening knot. She tapped the screen again and again, desperate for a response, but none came.

She tried to call her several times no one's picking up. Frustration surged. With a sharp exhale, she tossed her phone onto the bed, her mind spinning endlessly around the same questions: Why isn't she answering? Is she okay? Each unanswered message gnawed at her, carving deeper into her chest until the night stretched endlessly.

By morning, the school was alive with whispers, each rumor more poisonous than the last.

The F4

unshakable, untouchable were breaking apart.

Rose scrolled numbly through her feed, her thumb pausing when she saw a photo. Three of them together. But Ren was missing.

Something in her tightened. So it's true... they really are breaking up.

But what unsettled her more wasn't the photo-it was Ren. The way he seemed almost detached, unaffected, as though the chaos had washed right past him.

Ever since mira came back Ren had been... different. Distant. He no longer dropped by their house, his presence a rare flicker instead of a steady warmth. She told herself it didn't matter, but the thought of Mira at the center of his attention pass by

Then her eyes caught a comment beneath the photo.

"Source says Thyme and Ren like the same girl."

Her lips parted in disbelief as she whispered, "Which girl?" The question clawed at her ribs.

She looked up at Gorya's empty seat, her chest tightening with a strange mixture of irritation and unease.

This morning, Rose tried calling again-but fate seemed cruelly repetitive. No answer.

With a quiet sigh, she slipped her books out of her bag, only for something to slide beneath them. An envelope. Rose picked it up, her brows knitting as she turned it over in her hands.

Should I open it? The thought lingered, pulling at her curiosity until she finally tore it open.

Inside was a letter, words written in rushed, uneven lines. Sweet, romantic... lovely, in a way. Yet the more she read, the deeper her annoyance grew. Back in her old school, no one had ever dared approach her like this. And now, here, some stranger was leaving secret letters in her bag?
