Chapter 25 (Short Chapter)

Reginae's POV

"Can somebody tell me what the hell is going on?!" Shay demanded after a few minutes of silence.

Yn shook her head. "There's some type of emergency."

"What do you mean?"

"Well... My dad, he called me and he needs me" I spoke up.

"Okay, well that doesn't answer-"

"He's been in the hospital" I finally said. "I don't know what happened. I just got a call from my mom and-"

Chad pulled up to my house. I quickly ran inside, grabbed the money, and ran back to the car. A couple minutes later Chad pulled into the hospital. "Okay" he said as we all stepped out.

I ran over to the lady behind the desk. "Hi, I'm looking for Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr" I told her.

A young nurse, mind you:she was white, walked by and stopped in her tracks when she saw me. "Oh... My... God. You're Lil Wayne's daughter! Reginae Carter! Omg I love your dad soooo much!" Then, as soon as I blinked, this crazy ass hoe started rapping his lyrics. "Man fuck these niggas! Imma spare everything but these niggas! I flip the gun and gun-butt these niggas, take the knife off the AK and cut these niggas!"

As she continued, my mouth dropped open. When I looked over at Yn, her eyebrow was raised and Chad wrapped his arm around her with a confused, yet pissed off look. Shay crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes. "Annie! That's an offensive term" the lady behind the desk scolded her.

"Oh, oh, I didn't mean any harm! I figured since they called each other that I could do it too" she said fidgeting with her hands.

Shay's head snapped in her direction. "You don't have the damn history with the work like we do" she said.

She rolled her eyes. "It wasn't you with the history, it was just your kind."

"Our kind?" Yn asked while raising her eyebrow.

"Yes, your kind! Your people, whatever the hell you want to be called."

Then, that sparked a huge argument while Chad just stood there rolling his eyes. They want on for about thirty seconds before I'd had enough.

"Look! It doesn't matter" I said finally interrupting them. "I'm looking for my dad! Someone just tell me where the fuck my dad is" I said, banging on the counter.

Just then, Nicki came over to us. "Reginae, over here" she called us all over.

I could tell Shay and Yn were freaking
Out. They both loved her music but even though I've known her for years and they're my friends, they've never met her.

I shook my head and turned my attention back to her. "What happened?"

She took a deep breath. "We were recording and all of a sudden he just fainted. I don't even know" she said running her hand through her hair.

Yn noticed Chad looking at Nicki's butt and snapped her fingers in his face. "Nigga, don't make me beat yo ass, w're already at the hospital" she said as she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

Nicki rolled her eyes at Chad and turned back to me. "The doctors said he'll be okay, though. He just has to stay here."

"For how long?" Shay asked.

Nicki shrugged. "They're running tests and everything now" she said.

"Well, I'm staying here" I spoke up.

"Not alone you're not, we're staying too" Yn said as Shay nodded.

Chad looked at his watch. "Actually, I can't. Practice in the a.m., love you, gotta go" he said before kissing Yn and running off before she could say anything.

She looked dumbfounded for a second before staring at the floor, blinking away her tears. Shay shook her head and rubbed her back sympathetically and Nicki hugged her. I just stood there, shaking my head, feeling bad for my best friend. She's an amazing person and she deserves to be treated better.

She deserves so much better.

Torion's POV

I got to her house and rung the doorbell. "Dorothy-"

"Stop, right fuckin' there" she said holding her hand up. "Danielle, my name is Danielle! If you can't even remember my-"

"Not important right now. I need you."

She smiled a little bit, I watched as her anger slowly faded away. "Come take me then" she said, giving me a sexy smile.

I hesitantly stepped into her house, went to her bedroom and we started undressing each other.

So I've been meaning to post this chapter for a while now. 😭 I've gotten attached to this new show I've started watching (The Fosters, omg one of the best shows EVER) on Netflix & the book didn't even cross my mind until last night. Sorry guys 😩. I'll (try to) update again before Friday, but no promises.

Okay, now for the story summary, which is short because the chapter is short. Reginae's dad (Lil Wayne) is sick? What happened? Will he be okay? Where was Chad rushing off to? And Torion is seeing Darlene-oops, I mean Danielle again? This can't be good. 😔 And also, Diggy will be in the next chapter. ☺️
