Chapter 36

Yn's POV

*The Next Afternoon*

I woke up and stretched out me body. Looking at the clock, it said 2:00. Did I really sleep that long? I sighed as I had to climb out of bed and actually do something with my life. Ever since mom died I've literally done nothing but crawl out of bed and cry, just to crawl back into my bed the same night and cry even more.

I went to shower, brush my teeth, put lotion on, etc. I put on a pair of gold jeans and a white top. I threw on my black hat that said "DOPE" written in white letters and threw on my white Air Force Ones.

I can't believe what happened yesterday. Diggy..... Diggy kissed me. I was so chocked and confused. I wanted more... So much more. I can't believe i didn't notice the feelings he had for me before but looking back on everything it was so obvious Ray Charles would've seen it coming.

I walked downstairs and saw Torion and Aunt Jamie sitting on the couch. I took a deep breath before I got their attention. "Good morning, Yn" Aunt Jamie said to me.

I looked at her, then at Torion, then back at her. I could tell by the look on their faces that they were waiting anxiously for me to actually talk again. Their faces slowly dropped when nothing came out and Torion shook his head disappointedly.

"I love you guys" I said after standing there in silence for a few more minutes.

Their heads snapped toward me. Slowly their smiles spread as they both ambushed me with hugs and kisses. "Thank God" Aunt Jamie said as she wiped tears away from her face.

"I thought we lost you when we lost mom" Torion admitted once he finally let me go.

I sighed and looked up at the ceiling before looking back at them. "I tried so hard to talk again.... I just couldn't.... I wasn't trying to be dramatic-"

"We know" Torion cut me off. "It wasn't easy not hearin' your voice for three weeks" he said as he hugged me again.

"Your mom would be so happy" Aunt Jamie blurted out.

I turned and looked at her, giving her a small smile. "I wonder what Diggy did to make you talk. Finally told you 'bout how he felt? 'Bout time" he said as he sat on the couch.

"You knew?"

"The whole time" he smirked.

I gave him a look of confusion. "How come nobody told me?"

"You were with that asshole-"

"Watch your mouth" Aunt Jamie warned him, just like how mom used to do.

He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine, you were with Chad" he said, putting emphasis on his name. "He didn't wanna get rejected. So he always stayed around and was there for you, just in a friend type of way. "

I stared at him blankly. How could I have not need tired before? It was literally right in my face!

"Torion, can I borrow your car?"

He immediately stood up. "No way! I-"

"Please" I said innocently.

He easily gave up before tossing me his keys. "Be careful" he said.

I nodded as I walked to the car. I looked at the time on my phone and couldn't help but smile at my screen saver. It was the group picture we all took not that long ago: me, mom, Torion, Diggy, Shay, & Reginae, my family. It would've been so much better if Aunt Jamie was in it.
