Chapter 5

Yn's POV

I groaned as my alarm clock went off. I sat up with a major headache. I walked into the bathroom and saw that my eyes were red and puffy.

I can't believe all that's happened within the last few days. I discovered that my dad was having an affair, my mom tried to kill herself because of it, and my dad left us forever for his other family. It's just so unreal and I'm so hurt, it's indescribable.

I sighed as I hopped into the shower. After 20 minutes, I hopped out and did the rest of my hygiene routine. I put on my white top that had a blue heart on it, black high waisted jeans, and my black and blue Jordan's.

I walked down the stairs and fixed myself a bowl of cereal.

Torion's POV

I sighed as I showered. I can't believe dad really left his real family. I put on my True Religion Jeans, a white shirt, and my white Jordan's. I added a blue and white hat and watch after I did the rest of my hygiene routine.

I walked down stairs and saw Yn eating cereal. I could tell she was crying because she kept sniffling and wiping her face.

"Good morning, sis" I greeted her.

She looked up at me. "Hey" she whispered.

"You okay?"

She shook her head.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

She shook her head again.

I sighed. "Yn, we're in this together. Dad left both of us, not just you. If you-"

"Just shut the fuck about it, Torion! I don't want to talk!" she screamed as a tear slipped from her eye. She stood up, put her bowl in the sink, and walked out of the door. I guess she's going to walk instead get a ride from me.

As her brother, I'm not really phased by what just happened. We yell at each other like that all the time, just not as much as we used to. I'll give her her space for now. She'll talk to me about it when she's ready to talk, like she always does.

Yn's POV

I made it to school and Reginae and Paige ran up to me.

"Heyy" they said.

"Hey" I fake smiled.

Reginae's smiled faded. "Yn, what's wrong. Have you been crying?" She had a genuine look on her face.

I shook my head. "I don't wanna talk about it."

Paige sighed. "Come on, Yn. We're your best friends."

I sighed. "Fine" I gave up. I quickly explained everything that happened. I opened my locker to get my Geometry book.

Reginae looked as if she would cry, too. "OMG, Yn. I'm soooo sorry" she said.

"Damn, that's messed up" Paige said.

I nodded. "It's okay though. At least I know where I am in my dad's heart.... nowhere" I said as I shoved my locker closed.

"I really am sorry" Reginae said again.

"Nae, it's fine" I said.

Chad walked up to us. Paige rolled her eyes and walked away. "Hey, babe" he said to me, ignoring Paige.

I rolled my eyes and ignored him. I just kept walking.

"Yn, don't start" he said seriously.

"I think I'm just going to give you two your space" Reginae said as she quickly walked away.
