Chapter 10

Yn's POV

*The Next Day*

"Hello?" I answered. I was tired from dropping mom off the night before. I didn't even look at the Caller ID.

"I'm on my way over to your place." It was Chad.

I yawned. "So now you have time to talk to me?"

"Look, I know you're mad because I didn't see you after your dad left. But I'm comin' to make it up to you."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I hung up and got up to shower and brush my teeth. My hair was all over the place but I didn't care. I threw on an old shirt and jogging pants.

Then, the doorbell rang. I groaned as I walked down the stairs and answered the door.

"Hey bae" Chad said with a smile as he kissed me. He started playing with my messy hair. I had my arms crossed and didn't say anything back. "C'mon now, you know you can't stay mad at me."

I still didn't say anything. I just opened up the door wider so he could come in. He sat on the couch and I sat across from him.

"So, you're just not gonna say anything?" he said with a frown.

"I have nothing to say to you right now. You always have time to hang out at the studio to record songs and go to football practice but when it comes to me-"

"Don't bring football into this, Yn! The team needs me-"

"I need you!" I yelled as I got up. "I needed you more than anyone else and guess what: You weren't there for me. I don't give two flying fucks about that team!"

He looked down at his feet.

Chad's POV

Now I feel terrible. I've been cheating on Yn with Paige & I haven't even been considering her feelings. I have to tell her the truth.

"Yn, look I'm sorry" I wiped a tear from her face. "Look, I know I've been a terrible boyfriend and I promise I'm gonna make more time for you. There's something I need to tell you, though."

She sighed. "You're not a terrible boyfriend. I just need you to be there for me. I love you with all of my heart Chad Ray Walker. At least I know you're being faithful and you're not cheating on me." She pulled me into a hug.

Dammit! Now I really can't tell her. "Ummm... yeah, of course I'm not cheating. I love you too, Yn." I couldn't stop stuttering.

"Are you okay?" she said as she let go of me. She was looking me in the eye and I couldn't handle it.

"Ummm.. I gotta go" I said as I ran out of the door.

"Wait, Chad!" I heard her yelling my name but I couldn't stay. I pulled off and drove back home.

Yn's POV

What the hell is wrong with him? I don't know, but he's acting so weird. I called his phone but he ignored my call.

What is he up to?

Paige's POV

"What Paige?" Chad said as he answered the phone.

"What's your problem?" I asked as I put some lipstick on.

"Yn was on the other line and I ignored her call to answer yours" he said irritably.

"Oh, Yn" I said bitterly. "I'm sick of her still being in the picture."

"Nigga, she was in the picture before you were" he said.
