Naomi's POV***
*
If looks could kill, I would be dead in three seconds after the severe face scowling Samantha gave me. Samantha was in her mid twenties, a few years older than me and Julia with a very pricky and picky attitude. She was single and bruised after her long term fiancé broke off their engagement a year ago because of her attidude which was a turn off for him. She started hating me when her ex - fiancé called me beautiful and gave me a rose right in front of everyone. Yes, he worked at the hospital too. She started hating Julia too when Julia warned her to back off from me else she will turn her nose into a rotten meatball and feed it to stray dogs. She was a doctor, specialising in cancer. Oh she was good, but her personality was the worse.

After Julia pushed her way to the front to see whoever was on the tv singing, I turned to the trainee office to walk in when Samantha rolled her eyes at the group of nurses, doctors and trainees standing in front of the plasma tv giggling and talking to eachother. She met my eyes after her eye roll and gave me the killer glare as if I stole her family in the nineties. I just shrugged my shoulders and went in to the empty office, poured myself the already brewed hot coffee and sat down to go through some files.

Fifteen minutes later, Julia walked in beaming with smiles all over her face with Nicole right behind her talking to a nurse.

"Naomi, guess what?", Julia giggled through her question as I kept going through the files I had arranged before she came in.

"What now Julia?", I asked with tired eyes looking up at her determined face.

"You know my birthday is coming up right?", I nodded. "And I was planning on having a joy ride at the Micks with you and a few family right?", I nodded again getting frustrated, " ...but, Max just promised me five front seat tickets to Devon's upcoming concert for charity and a free backstage pass", She squealed happily after the last sentence.

I just smiled and nodded,"Good for you". She frowned at my reply and gazed at me noticing how unfazed I was.

"Is that all you can say?, someone just promised me five awesome tickets to the best concert ever to happen and all you can say is good for you?" Julia pounced out at me and then sat down. It always took you to brush off an interest of hers and she goes crazy eyes in seconds. What was I supposed to say, I didn't even know who those guys she just mentioned were. I know her birthday is coming up and she was crazy about the guy who sings and I was happy for her so good for her was an honest answer.

"Julia, I love you, but sometimes I wanna throw you off a cliff and run down the fastest way to catch you. I am really happy for you. I don't even know who Max is. And I know that singer is your favourite person on earth at the moment so yes I am happy for you my love, are you okay now?", she stared at me with a devious smile on her face.

"You just don't talk to anyone that's why you don't know who Max is. He is the new nurse who just got transferred here. His brother is a friend of the stage designer who knows someone who gave him those tickets", Julia sounded excited which just got me more confused.

"So why would he give you five free tickets and a backstage pass without any closure as to why and whether be will go or not", I asked with enthusiasm waiting for bad news.

"Well he already has plans, and to answer your first question, yes is free because he got them for free and besides, he said they were my birthday gifts since he won't be here on that day".Julia answered proudly, slumped down on her seat as if she knew I was expecting another explanation.

"Okay J. We will just tell our already invited family to cancel because you are going to a concert and I will just...", befpre I could finish Julia cut me off with a head turn and a finger pointed at me.

"Uh uh, me, noooo we, because you are coming with me and the rest of girls I will invite. Is about time you had some fun and a little outing will do you good", julia prompted with a finale as I just Smiled as If I had heard the most funniest joke ever.

"No Julia. I'm not going anywhere with you especially that concert, forget it", I said qith a head shake.

" We will see about that boo. We will see", she said with a smirk crawling on her face.

It had been a long and busy day since we kept going back and forth, checking on patients in our field, getting lunch, and a brown closed envelop being delivered for Julia. The contents were the tickets for the concert with Julia jumping up and down with excitement qnd me rolling my eyes.

We got home late again because we had worked together to cover a sick friend's shift. We had dinner and made fun of eachother till I had to torture myself to finish a late interview of Julia's favourite singer , Devon. I dozed off within ten seconds and Julia just passed the time with the interview.
