Naomi's POV * * * *
* *
Oh wow. Those were the only words I could utter with what I was witnessing. So much people and It was barely 7:00 pm and this place was already full. We went around the line and a tall huge man asked for our tickets as he looked from one girl to another with a pleasant smile. Well atleast we looked decent enough unlike most girls waiting in the line. As soon as I got there I wanted to leave but I had to suck it up for Julia. I didn't wanna ruin her day.

The man smiled again and whispered something in a skinny hairy masculine man's ear beside him and gestured an eye to us, holding up gaze and smiling in approval. Was this some cult awakening sacrifice or what. What are the thirsty looks for? I asked myself as I gazed back at them in confusion. The tall masculine man came to us and motioned for us to follow him inside. Oh we went in, amd the inside was ravishing.  Humans were just too crazy to understand. There were diamond chandeliers hanging almost everywhere. The hall was packed with all kinds of people and some endearing scents of smell. We got to the front row, right infront of the stage with a reserved plate on each seat. The tall masculine man took the plates off and motioned with his hand for us to sit down. Julia took the first seat, I took the next, followed by Nicole, then Lisa and Ella who couldn't for some reason close their opened mouths and their gazing eyes. I was uncomfortable, the concert hadn't started yet and I felt like running back home.

I pinched Julia's thigh and she owed in pain and turned to me,"I'm hungry. And why are we here so early. There are still a bunch of people outside waiting to get in".

"Shhhhh, hold that greedy tummy of yours, we just ate a while ago. And the show will start with or without those people outside", Julia Murmured to me but that wasn't enough to calm my tummy.

"We ate four hours ago, not a while ago. This concert better start now because if it doesn't,  I will make it", Oh and Julia knew I don't mess around when I am hungry.

Before I could complain again, I heard people cheering and clapping for someone on the stage with a guitar and a stand up microphone.

The guy on the microphone looked nervous but seemed to be in control of himself,"Hi everyone, I'm Chase. I just got a call to be the opening act for Devon before he comes on stage and hell yeah...is crazy", the crowd cheered and clapped with laughter following.  Now I was confused because I didn't see the need for all the clapping and laughter. "I wrote this song for the young and old out there wishing on a star but can only see the moon from a distance. Here we go", well that was corny but I enjoyed the song and it didn't seem to be just me me who did because that guy just gave Lisa a red rose and a kiss on the cheek. Oh she was red all over. I couldn't help it, I kept laughing and teasing her. Julia was happy, even her sweaty palms was evident enough when she held my hand and stood up with the crowd when the host called out Devon's name. There was so much smoke everywhere I was actually concerned about the health of whoever was going next on that stage and it was hard for me to see anything. The cheering was loud my ears felt like they were bleeding out, my eyes needed glasses to see properly eventhough I was wearing contacts, my girlfriends were all standing up with the crowd cheering and clapping, Only God knew how much I wanted to get out of there. I sat down on my chair and pulled out my phone from my purse which had ten missed calls from my dad, fifteen from my mom, five from each one of my three older siblings.  I needed to get out of there and call one of them, else they are gonna think I died waking up today.

Ten minutes later after I sat down, the smoke was gone,  most of the crowd were seated including my friends, amd they were just singing along and clapping.

For the first time in my life I thought I saw a tv created person who looked like handsome wasn't enough to describe him. Oh he was beautiful but I wasn't thinking about that right now. The guy on stage grabbed a guitar and sat down, pulled a well adjusted sound microphone to his lips and smiled. I think I heard some girls say aww if I didn't imagine that. I went back to my phone to send out messages to my family that I was alive when I heard the sound of a chair move swiftly and a string of guitar go off.

I would have said I was crazy if I told myself eyes were on me but I wasn't.  A spotlight flash was on me and I just stared and gasped in confusion looking from my left to right. Julia and the rest of the girls were infact staring at me with so much focus and happiness oozing from their eyes like they just accomplished the cure for cancer. I turned my attention back to the stage and oh my God,  why was the Devon they loved staring at me like I was some food ready for consumption?.

The guy on stage continued to lock eyes with me as I stared back at him confused asking myself slowly why he wasn't singing and just staring at me. Then I heard,"Wow" including the entire audience. Julia covered her mouth with her palm in amazement as Devon, cleared his throat on the microphone and started a song which kinda surprised me because he kept staring at me even while adjusting the microphone to sing. It was weird but I had other pressing issues to attend to and I needed a non cheering quiet place to call my mother. Devon got up from his chair still playing the guitar and mixing words with stevie wonders' isn't she lovely. I guess he was just doing a cover then. I thought that was cheap considering he has his own songs to sing, why a cover. He was walking with his guitar over to us with the crowd cheering as I got up, whispered something into Julia's ears and turned to walk towards the nearest available door to make my calls.

What happened after I had left, I had no idea. I stood next to a long list of different types of dishes without any security to stop me from tasting any of them. Besides I was hungry.  I called my mom as soon as I got her text saying "call me now" while I grabbed a plate.

"Naomi Van charles where in God's name are you, and why aren't you picking my calls?"

"Mom, I can explain much better if you calm down and listen", I heard her sigh calmly.

"Start talking young lady".

"You know is Julia's birthday today right, and a colleague at the hospital gave her free tickets to a concert as a birthday present. I was the only one she wanted to go with to watch the concert together so I....unno, I came with her. But before you go gaga on me, we are almost leaving".

"So that's the excuse for not picking any of our calls mi ha. You know how your father feels when you don't show up for service, much less going out without his permission...", now I was getting pissed.

"Mom, I'm old enough to take care of myself, why do I need a permission before I can go out. I'm not six anymore mom. Just tell dad and the rest of the perfect family that I am fine and I will come home when I don't have work and I need rules. I love you".

"I love you too. I will talk to him. Go home early and be safe, bye mi ha".

I cut the line with a sigh popping a spicy meatball into my mouth chewing on in satisfaction. It was so savoury and warm. Just the right amount of spice. Before I could taste the next food, I heard noises coming towards the hall I was in tasting foods. I followed the noise to check who they were when cameras started flashing with numerous questions being thrown onto someone who was surrounded by other tall thick men with security vests protecting him. Oh, the Devon. I had to get out, and the only way out was to pass right beside the noisy paparazzi and their celebrity. How did they even get in anyway.

This could possibly pass the worst night of my life except if I had finished my food exploring.
