Chapter 39

--------------------NAOMI'S POV-------------

''I had a great time. With you'', I smiled at him licking off a part of my gloss. We were outside my front door. His eyes just undresses me every time he gets quiet and stares hard.

''Me too. With you.'', He got closer and I got closer.

"Again, my dress won't fall off just because you stare at them hard", I chuckled drawing his attention back to my face.

"Doesn't hurt to try", he laughed and I chuckled, "I like you a lot. Maybe a bit more than I'm used to. I like spending time with you, in Oder irregular hours", he laughed at himself and I smiled.

"Well, I'm quite likeable you know", I joked making him smile.

"Well yes you are", he leaned in and held my waist allowing a heat sensation pass through me swiftly. I held his gaze and kept my smile, I wasn't nervous anymore, "I don't want a one night stand with you, or a tryout. I want the real thing. The one we both aren't good at, who knows, maybe we might just work", he sounded so sure and confident.

"What if it doesn't work, what if we aren't right for eachother, I mean you have like a whole lot going on and I'm just....".

"What if it does....., right now, what I have going on can be you. You just have to make up your mind. I haven't tried this before, but I want you, so damn much so I want to", he looked so handsome when he smiles and I just enjoyed his company. I wasn't sure if I was about to make a great decision or I was going to regret it later but that's what risks are for right.

"Fine", I leaned in and wrapped my arms around his neck, "but I'm not doing magazines, or shoots or public stuff. If we are going to do this, is going to be private. No one has to know just us. Not even close family or friends until is safe enough to. I'm not good with complication, and you are one. A dangerous complication I can't seem to get out of my head", he tucked my hair behind my ears and gave me a long hard warm kiss on my forehead. That felt so good my knees felt week.

"I promise", we kissed again and again and again till his phone beeped to check his messages.

"Goodnight doc, and let your hair down more, you look ravishing", and with that he was gone and the night ended.

Julia was asleep when I got in. I made sure not to wake her up and kissed her goodnight and tiptoed straight to my room. I was  so happy she was asleep because i just wouldn't be able to look her in the eyes and lie or explain. I fell on my bed, exhausted. I couldn't stop smiling. This was one of my favourite nights and it looked like I was already in a relationship. Well he is going to have ask like a gentleman first.

The next morning was crazy. Work was exhausting and Julia wouldn't stop bugging me about last night. She was everywhere. Devon and I had been texting throughout the night and that morning he said he had a surprise for me and if he could come pick me up. I decided to just meet him instead because I knew Julia would have figured it out that something was going on. I had to cancel on him and he instead decided to have whatver it was delivered to me. I agreed and waited in the private parking basement for only VIPs after lunch.

A car pulled up at a far end and honked for my attention and I just stared blankly at it instead. A saw a head poke out in full covered hoodie, a baseball cap and a sunglasses walking towards me with flowers and something I couldn't see clearly in hand. It was Devon. I chuckled at his disguise and kissed him when he got closer.

"What are you doing here?", I whispered still laughing.

"I wanted to see you, and surprise you myself", I smiled at him like a little girl and he kissed me. He had a jewellery box with my name engraved on it and inside it had a diamond and god necklace with Naomi engraved selectively on it. I beamed with a surprise and a little shock. Underneath the jewellery was another layer of bracelets with "will you be my girlfriend" on them. It was one bracelet with layers. The flowers were made with milk chocolate and caramel flavoured cakes and meringues. I didn't even think that was edible till it was up close.
