CHAPTER 8

After the whole team of APLEX left Emily asked me to be in her room .I was scared like hell You are doomed Elena ,this deal was important to Emily and your homework ruin it .Am dead totally dead because now I have to face Emily's wrath .

No doubt Emily is a nice person and employer but when she's angry it's like water at it's boiling point. I picked up all the things , rushed towards my room ,placed all the things on my desk ,calmed my nerves and started walking towards Emily's room .

My hands were getting sweaty which usually does when am nervous like hell.Finally , I was outside Emily's office what should I do ? Should I go inside ? what will I say if she asked me why I did that ? To teach that man a lesson? NO hell No .Look Elena it's gonna me okay just relax she is not going to eat me and by the way I did that for one important cause that was this business how can we rely on them without any evidence. "phew." I knocked at the door .

"Yes come in. ! " Emily said from inside and she sounded normal which was a relief .

"You wanted to see me ." I asked her while entering the room and closing the door behind very carefully.

"Yes! come on sit ,I wanted to thank you for what you did in the meeting room." Emily said in a calm voice.

"What ? I thought you will me angry with me like this deal is important for you ." I said shockingly .

"Yes! it is important for me and this deal is not off but it is delayed for a while .Firstly , I was shocked and bit angry on your statement about audited financial statements but later on I realized that you are right. This small business is as much important for as much for me and you thought it very cleverly about that .So, Thank you for that. I really appreciate that."she smiled and reassured me that I am in no trouble.

"You don't have to say this It's my duty to seek what is best for this business and Thank you for appreciating me ." I replied with a relief .

"Okay for that I am giving you off tomorrow ,you should take rest and No arguments on that . Go home and sleep ,you look restless."she said in a bossy tone and dismissed me .

I was happy as Emily was not angry on me but little upset about tomorrow What am gonna do tomorrow for that whole day ? stay home where it's not important whether I exist or no ?

  Oh what am really gonna do ?

''Ahmm both of you should go and work with Tina .Do tell everyone to make available all the financial statements so that auditors don't find any difficulty regarding their work.I am assigning you both to supervise the whole work and help auditors with anything they need.Also take Lincoln ,head of finance department with you ."I ordered Tom and Jake to get rid of their shocked faces but I realized they were more shocked after my order because its not their work to do but finance department's duty.

"But Jason It's not our duty to do."Tom said in a low voice .

"I know ,It's just I trust you both and Tina .So,am counting on you three ." I replied.

"Okay sir ! We will do our best to perform this task ."Jake assured and they both left my room.

I came back to my chair ,opened my laptop and placed an status on our company's website "Internal auditor needed !! Anyone interested ? don't wait just contact APLEX manufacturers ." Hmm this is good .

By the way how stupid of me I have a company website but I don't have an auditee or audit department and the way some one made me realize well, how convenient. I Called Megan inside my Office and inform her about the add and told her to remain alert about this thing.After that I just closed my eyes and leaned back on my chair to relax for a while .

Same those hazel eyes ,same smile on the lips full face was not visible only eyes and smile on the lips .Those eyes were staring at me and I heard a whisper so clear and loud like some one just whispered in my ears "I am here...." and I saw Elena's face in front of me . 

I opened my eyes ,got up ,fiercely took the glass full of water from the table "Stop haunting me ,why don't you leave me alone ?? what have you done to me that I see you in every other girl. " I shouted while smashing the glass on the floor ,I was breathing so heavily and finding it difficult to breath.Meanwhile ,Megan came inside my office almost running.

 "Sir are you okay ? " she asked worryingly

" Am fine ,just leave me alone ." I said while running fingers through my hair ,she just nodded and left .

I calmed myself ,picked my phone and left for home .When I reached home Dad was in garden having his evening tea ."Come son ,you want some tea ?" Dad offered me.

"No! Am fine ! " I replied and settled myself on the chair .

"But you don't look fine ! Oh I forgot to ask you how did your meeting go today ? " Dad asked me both of the questions in one breadth.

"Don't talk about it ! That bitch just ruined it . " I said angrily .

"Oh waoh! Calm down ,tell me what happened." he putted down his cup and lean forward to assure me that he is ready to listen .I told dad about the whole meeting scene and he started laughing at me hysterically .

" HAHAHAHA! ARE YOU SURE SHE TOLD YOU THAT YOU DON'T HAVE AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ? " Dad said between laughs .

"Yes! Dad It's not funny ."I pouted .

"Believe me son I am having doubts that you studied business ." He made fun of me and I just glared at him .

"Okay! okay! don't eat me you monster .It's In your nature you always forget to prepare for that thing which is important .As student, you always forget to prepare for the topics which are important for exams and when you come home ,You react the same way you are doing right now."

"DAD stop .This was big for me ."

"I know it is but let me tell you That girl have a talent you know ,how she did that is not possible for some ordinary to that with YOU." Dad declared and he especially focused on the word YOU , It made me more angry , I got up and started to walk towards my room.

"Remember we have to visit Helena Tomorrow ." He said it loud so that I can hear .

Shit I have to take Dad to Helena's tomorrow ..........
