Set-Up: What happens when you unexpectedly find yourself hospitalized?

Sorry about the wait. I got burnt out on writing this fic, so I took a long break.

Makoto Naegi

You caught a horrible case of the flu after visiting your family. Your mom got it from a kid at the daycare she owns, and she passed it to you inadvertently before she realized she was even ill. You got much sicker than either your mom or the child she got it from, and you ended up checking yourself into the hospital because of the constant vomiting and dizziness.

When you texted Makoto and told him what happened, he was concerned and came to visit you that afternoon. You explained that he shouldn't fuss too much because the doctor and nurses were taking great care of you, and while that eased his worries a bit, he still took the time to check in on you every day after school ended. He was even there the day you were discharged after your symptoms cleared up and was more than happy to escort you back to Hope's Peak.

You ended up in the hospital after a car accident. Someone driving drunk ran a red light and T-boned the vehicle you and your dad were driving in. Luckily, neither of you were significantly hurt; your dad only got a few cuts and bruises, and you came out of it with a fractured ankle. Honestly, the emotional impact was worse than the physical; a car accident is how you lost your mom, and a lot of bad memories of that time resurfaced for both you and your dad.

As for Byakuya, he rushed to the hospital pretty much the second he heard you were there and stayed by your side almost the entire time you were hospitalized. The only time he wasn't was when you had to have surgery done on your ankle, and even then you had to assure him you'd be fine because he was starting to grill one of the nurses about how "reputable" the doctor was and if he had experience.

Byakuya also listened when you opened up about how the accident reminded you of your mom, and while he didn't comfort you with words, he did step out during your surgery to get you your favorite candy, a nice gesture you repaid with a kiss that brought a nice pink shade to his pale face.

Yasuhiro Hagakure

You got a really bad case of food poisoning and ended up going to the hospital at the insistence of your mom and older sister. Turns out, the chicken you had on a recent date with Hiro had been undercooked, and your stomach didn't like it one bit.

Hiro found out you were in the hospital from you directly via text. You were expecting him to freak out and ask if you were dying, but he was surprisingly chill. Turns out, his thirty percent prediction success rate had kicked in the week before, and he had a premonition of you going to the hospital with food poisoning, and he didn't tell you because he'd forgotten to. You thought it was funny and laughed when he was finished with his story. He may not be the brightest bulb, but he's for sure the funniest.
