Set-Up: What happens when you unexpectedly find yourself hospitalized?

You've been having a difficult week. Between not one, not two, but four exams, and the random (and also terrifying) text your oldest sister sent about your parents potentially divorcing, you were overwhelmed with stress. It all came to a head on Wednesday afternoon when you tried to call your sister about what was happening and got no response, sending you into a panic attack.

The next thing you know, you were lying in a hospital bed. A doctor came in shortly after you woke, and after a bit of confusion on your part, you found out exactly what happened: your panic attack caused a spike in your blood pressure, and you ended up fainting in the first-floor hallway.

There were a bunch of people present at the hospital just waiting to see you, including your parents (who aren't divorcing, your sister just fell for a rumor going around the college that she attends and your mom works at), both your sisters, and of course, Hajime. Your family was really worried about you and was wondering if there was something more serious going on, but thankfully there wasn't.

Hajime was concerned as well, but he managed to remain calm so you'd have someone to talk to that wasn't about to flip their lid. Still, he watched you carefully, looking out for any sign that you'd faint or fall into another anxiety attack. He stayed with you the whole time until you were discharged the next day with strict orders to rest and reduce stress. Hajime made sure of that, mandating that you take Friday and the weekend off from any kind of homework or studying, and it ended up being the most fun weekend you've had in a long time.

Nagito Komaeda

Something you've come to understand while dating Nagito is that sometimes his luck rubs off onto you.... and it's not always the good luck.

On a warm Saturday night, you and Nagito were heading back to Hope's Peak after a dinner date when the taxi the two of you were in crashed. Neither of you had noticed, but the driver was under the influence and ended up driving the vehicle straight into a pole.

Nagito and the driver ended up fine (although the latter did get arrested), but you had to be taken to the hospital for treatment because the seat belt broke two of your ribs. It hurt like hell and left you with a nasty bruise, but the doctor deemed that surgery was not necessary, and that you would be discharged the following day.

Nagito acted normal in the presence of the doctor and nurses, but when the two of you were alone, he snapped back into his true self—meaning that when he wasn't busy fetching whatever your little heart desired, he was trashing himself for "getting you hurt" via his luck that switches between bad and good like an aggressive pendulum. You told him it was fine, that you'd be okay, and he'd calm down for a while, but anytime you even looked uncomfortable, he'd start again. Eventually, you just shut him up using your favorite method: kisses.

It happened. It finally happened. Your now ex-boyfriend who disappeared over a year ago was back.

The first emotion that flooded your brain when he popped out from behind the dorm building was pure shock. The second was fear. He hadn't been violent with you, but you knew it was only a matter of time until his temper shifted in your direction. When he vanished without a trace a year ago, you were relieved to finally be rid of him.
